I get it, and I’m with you. I was thinking this could turn to Lord of the Flies with pickup trucks, MAGA hats, and high-powered rifles. And it may still.
All I can think to do is disengage awhile, thank Jeebus that Trump didn’t get another four years, get some rest and regroup. A part of me thinks that our system triumphed but another part thinks, ‘What about next time?’
Whereas Trump pandered to lower instincts, how can we appeal to the better parts of people? I don’t know if you Facebook but I love this (and can’t find it elsewhere). I adore how he states the case. If we can name it, perhaps we can fight it.

As a Canadian looking in, I can feel the healing beginning. Watching the speeches, and seeing the children in the crowd cheering, I have confidence in their future. The wave of relief is so strong.

Fabulous speeches by both Harris and Biden. Been a long few days (weeks, months, YEARS even) and so glad that the US and for that matter, the world, can now breathe a collective sigh of relief.
