On this he has a bit of a point. Not much of one, but a bit. Voting machines, any voting machine, are problematic. There is a potential for error or fraud. They sometimes do miscount votes. They can be hacked.
I do not believe that it made a difference in this election. If there was error, it was just as likely to be in Trumps favour as against him. If someone hacked the system it might have been a Trump supporter.
It’s my opinion that all voting should be paper only.

In fact, Pfizer partnered with the vaccine’s original developer, Germany’s BioNTech, in March and the following month announced the first human study in Germany. The White House announced Operation Warp Speed in May.
It must hurt Trump to realize that we all have to thank the leader of the free world for that one…

There is a big difference between purely electronic voting machines vs. ballot counting machines. It looks like most of the Dominion uses here are with their ballot counting machines. The ballots themselves are paper, and can be counted by hand if necessary. There are reasons for concern about fully electronic voting but ballot counting seems like a non-issue to me. It would be difficult to get away with any kind of hack since the result is so easily verified by comparing against hand counting or another machine.

I agree as long as anyone (read all sides) can count the paper ballots.
I am too lazy to look it up but I recall a Kansas(?) election where some people felt there were some statistical irregularities and wanted access to the ballots. They were prepared to pay all costs associated with that. Kansas told them to go pound sand.
As long as an election can be audited and inspected by all sides and there are physical ballots to count I think the system works. As soon as parts start getting blocked it becomes less certain.
Electronic only…no way. We see systems hacked all the time. This would not be good.

I don’t know if any states do this, but random spot checks also sound like a good idea. Order that some random subset of counties or districts have to do a hand recount after the electronic one. Investigate if there’s a discrepancy greater than some very small value.
It is not counting during the election and has no effect on the election. It is checking after it is all over. It does not interfere with anything. The people wanting to do this have to pay the costs for the state to make it happen.
