Nope. How many times is it the preamble and the Declaration?

Is taxation a founding principle? How about Bankruptcy? Borrowing money? Minting money?counterfeiting? War? the Navy? Treason? Just because the Constitution mentions it, does not make it a founding principle.

Here are the founding principles- We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I object (not to you, but to your HuffPost quote) that Schwartz was “co-author” of that stupid book. He was not “co-author” – he wrote the damn thing in its entirety, while Trump bounced around like an obsessed spoiled toddler with no interest at all in contributing to the book, and Schwartz had to do his best to try to elicit any input at all from the idiot he was ghostwriting for.

Canada. Really. Was this in the BNA act of 1867 or the repatriation of the Canadian constitution in 1982? (Pro tip. Britain outlawed slavery in 1833). Can’t wait to hear you explanation for how slavery was part of the Canadian constitution.

More or less that you could also say that slavery was a founding principle of the Canadian constitution as well. Looked like a throwaway comment with nothing to back it up.

Trump certainly knows why it’s wrong; if someone cheated while playing against him he’d be able to explain why it was wrong. He just doesn’t care about doing wrong things, because he’s a sociopath.

Perhaps as a discouragement to that sort of stuff, how about a policy for a candidate-requested recounts – as opposed to one triggered by an already existing law – in the case of there being no different outcome have the votes added to the already winner again?

Example: There were, what, three recounts in Wisconsin, each of which increased Biden’s win a bit. Biden gets to tally 30 (3x10) more electoral college votes so he now has 336 to Trump’s 232.

Laws, rules, conventions, protocols-- those things do not apply to him. They are not just for other people, but for all other people. He is a legend in his own mind, unique, special, the one and only, top of the heap, king of the mountain. He is not subject to any rules or even suggestions made by anyone else. Nor even to the laws of nature. Didn’t he whup COVID just because of Who He Is? He is only subject to gravity, because he agrees to it, but he could rescind that agreement any time… and just float away to the home of the sky gods.

Ever notice the things he accuses other people of are the exact things he does himself? Take attempting to steal the election, for example. He lost the election fair and square, and now he’s still trying to keep the Presidency on some kind of technicality—including a possible technicality. It will be interesting if the military follows his orders until 12:00 noon on January 20 and does a quick Order Number 66 and switches alliances to serve Joe Biden.

It makes me nervous that a lot of media articles refer to Trump’s attempt to overturn Biden’s win as a “long shot.” Like, there really shouldn’t be ANY chance that all these different avenues he’s tried could work AT ALL as opposed to even 99.9% or infinitesimally small or what not. Like, I want them to say 0% chance because the win is legitimate and is the will of the electorate. Just stop it. Somebody stop these whack-a-mole lawsuits and messing with the electoral slate crap. The voters have spoken dammit.
