Yes. And what does it say that I am more interested in this, for the moment, than focusing on the details of districts in key states?
Those details are pointless. We have to wait to find out what happens, the color maps, the polls, and all the talking head babble won’t tell us the answer.
Seems to me a comfortable Trump win, and has for a while.
CNN and MSNBC projects Neb District 2 for Biden. With AZ, MI and WI, Biden wins, without PA
Consider for a moment if Trump wins: He would go down as the most invincible candidate in modern U.S. history. He would have gotten himself reelected despite a pandemic that’s killed over 200,000 Americans, the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, impeachment, having tweeted over 13,000 Tweets (many of them offensive), thousands of lies, a hundred different scandals, and having almost never had an approval rating beyond the mere 40s. If even that couldn’t take him down at the ballot box, what could?
As I said earlier, it’s a mispronunciation of “moron” and color. Specifically a shade of red; you know, the color of Republicans.
And never having won more votes than his opponent. Nobody in history has ever failed upwards so well.
Even if he loses, it’s astounding to me that none of that deterred as many people voting for him as they already have.
Who will believe the polls after this?!
So movement in Georgia from the AP:
Trump was +6.4 with 85% reporting.
Trump is now +2.6 with 93% reporting.
At that rate, he’d wind up winning by about 1 percent.
My math disagrees with yours. 8% reporting cost him 3.8%. 7% more reporting and he goes below 0.
I think what we have is a failure of pronouns. By “he” I believe Velocity means Biden will win by about a point, which is what my math says too. If things continue to swing toward Biden at the current rate, anyway.
I meant Biden. Yeah, my brain is frazzled now.
And because of his ridiculous use of “Poles” I didn’t notice something earlier: Who in the world suggested that votes could be cast after polls close?
He’s pretending that the votes that are being counted were cast after the election because the people that follow him are very stupid.
Republicans essentially have their own propaganda arm, and they’ve scared enough people away from the ‘mainstream’ news that they never hear a dissenting voice that they trust. They’ve even turned people against scientists and educators, those who helped give us all the wonderful technology we enjoy. As long as they exist in this form, we will remain a house divided, with no common facts to agree upon and base our decisions on.
Finding out how we went wrong with this, and finding our way back is the key to fixing our problems. Everything else is a bandage, a scab that republicans will peel off at the earliest opportunity.
CBS saying that Trump might still make a speech tonight/this morning. They’re also saying that counting ballots in many states are going on tonight. Earlier they were saying that some of those states were shut down for the night.
I figured that was his gambit, of course but damn, it is really, really, sad if even his knuckle-draggers would miss that one.
I just woke up from a nap and checked the scoreboard.
After all this “president” has said and done to promote dishonesty, ignorance and hatred, all I can feel right now is disgust and shame…but not surprise. Even if Biden pulls out a win, there will be no reason for anyone to feel pride in the results.
In AZ, Biden leads by 156K with around 600K left to be counted. Unfortunately, 500K of those are from counties Trump won in 2016. Hopefully those counties swung for Biden this time.
