If they’ve been brainwashed once, they can be brainwashed again. This constant refrain of “they’re so stupid, they’re so easily swayed, they’re so gullible, WHY WON’T THEY DO WHAT WE WANT” is starting to sound like the proverbial calling a woman a whore because she won’t sleep with you. These are not irredeemable lost souls, they’re human beings, and they CAN be influenced by the right message if it’s presented in a way that is palatable to them.
Dan Hopkins on 538 - who appears to be their PA guy - says this: “With the latest updated votes in Pennsylvania, Trump’s raw lead drops below 400,000 votes. If the Secretary of State’s website accurately reflects outstanding mail ballots, there are roughly 1 million mail ballots still out, which excludes those that arrived most recently.”
I need it spelled out. Is that information cautiously optimistic for Biden at all?
There’s a whole 'nother thread to be had on how news bubbles and social media bubbles have brainwashed people and how you cannot force people to look outside the comfortable little bubbles they have created for themselves. Seriously, if you can figure out how to make certain that people receive accurate information without burning Facebook, Twitter, Fox News, a lot of radio stations, and probably Russia to the ground, I’d love to hear it.
Honestly, our best hope would probably be to feed them accurate information while they’re still young. -Oh wait, you think we should let the education system be destroyed too.
I’ll be gobsmacked-surprised if Biden takes MI. What’s so frustrating is it seems that even if all states magically get the counts done right now, we still won’t know officially.
Probably depends where they are from. Philadelphia area ran 4:1 in favor of Biden. So, if most of them come from there, it should be enough.
There is absolutely no shortage of information out there which will tell them that climate change is a real thing and should be taken seriously. Indeed, the vast majority of it tells that story. These people are willfully ignorant.

Yes. It tracks with what we’ve been seeing. Basically the last 3% of returned vote has dropped Trump’s lead by about 100k. There is another 17% left, roughly. That works out to a further reduction of 566k votes, which would be about a 200k Biden win. That seems to track pretty closely with the county-level results as well.

Mail-in ballots in PA favored Biden 75:25. So, he would get 750,000 more votes, and Trump gets 250,000 making Biden the winner by 100K votes or so.

Why? With 99% reporting, Biden’s up by over a point (61,000+ votes). The only major counties still not done reporting are Wayne, Kent and Genesee. Detroit, Grand Rapids and Flint. That’s gonna pad Biden’s lead.
Something I’m someone shocked hasn’t been happening (knock on wood) is “Trump trains” surrounding wherever it is in PA that they’re counting the votes and threatening violence. I hope they have a TON of security.
I think Locrian meant as a general result. Like, the numbers can say Reagan will win California, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be surprised when he does.
i can tell you that a very large portion of phila voted early/mail in. those are being counted now. for 2 weeks the line around city hall was a constant 2 blocks long, all day.
many were nervous about trusting usps and just wanted to get it done.
there was a good portion at my polling station including me that brought our ballot in and voted in person because we did not trust usps. i got my ballot on thursday and another one on saturday. way too late.

A few hours ago, the EC votes were projected as Biden 224 Trump 213. Right now, the results are Biden 248 Trump 214.

Correct. If the 99% figure is correct, there are about 54,000 uncounted ballots. Even if they all go to Trump, Biden still wins.
It’s actually even better than that. It’s around 78:22 and that’s what my numbers were based on.

Votes left: Wisconsin has declared the election over
Outcome: A recount will be demanded by Trump but won’t reverse the result. Biden wins.
GEORGIA (16)
Leader: Trump by 79,509
Votes left: About 250,000 according to the Georgia Secretary of State, most in Atlanta-area counties
Outcome: It’s a coin flip.
MICHIGAN (16)
Leader: Biden by 37,000
Votes left: Hard for me to figure this out; I believe maybe 200,000 but sources vary. Could be way less.
Outcome: Likely Biden unless some of the available information is wrong.
PENNSYLVANIA:
Leader: Trump by 350,000
Votes left: No idea. I have seen numbers ranging from 650,000 to a million. The generally accepted number is 700,000 though.
Outcome: Without knowing how many votes are left to count I don’t know. Probably Trump ut if the one million number is true, probably Biden?
NORTH CAROLINA
Leader: Trump by 67,000
Votes left: Possibly as many as 120,000, all mail-ins
Outcome: Probably Trump but not certain yet.
