Well it is for me, but that just be because I am not very imaginative, and crap at combat.
Prior to the wipe from beta I made a goodly amount by running missions ( take X to Y etc) , once I can get back into the swing of things that may be the way to go. I suck at combat and can almost guarantee and interruption from the kids as soon as I get into combat , so that’s not going to work.
Seams like I am making some money just by picking up exploration data when running from one system to another.
Looks like I’ve found a new game to get into when I inevitably become bored with this one. Rebel Galaxy appears to be one part Elite, one part Starflight 2, and one part “Firefly”.
The Asp is fine (not great; frankly the Diamondback Scout was overall more fun), but I’m thinking of kitting out a Vulture, actually, dedicated to the purpose. Word is they can take out Anacondas (NPCs anyway.) Considering I can already take out NPC Pythons 1 on 1 in the Asp, I believe it.
Sure, why not?
The Fuel Rats are pretty loosely organized, but it sounds like fun.
I’ve been trading metal to the Kaushpoos system for the current CG, already have earned a 7 million CR bonus. Woo-hoo!
The more I hear from the boss Paladin, the more I like his group, but I also like the idea of Dopers banding together. We could do that and ally ourselves with the Paladins, and their allies, giving each other a hand when we can. We just need a name I and I can register us at Inara.
I did well in the last CG (top 40% with the Asp), so now I’ve kitted out a specialist bounty-hunting Vulture. It’s pretty fun! I hate that the only weapons that are really appropriate for it are twin pulse lasers (SO boring) but so it is. It handles like an enraged velociraptor.
With a nice-sized cushion upon returning to civilization, especially if I still have my exploration data, I’ll be checking out open play. Don’t want to take a chance on losing that data in one shot.
