Ok, time to divulge your most embarrassing tv/movie character crushes. I must emphasize that the crush has to on the CHARACTER,not the actor/actress portraying said character.
here’s a few of mine:
Peg Bundy - Married With Children
Phoebe - Friends
Willow - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Seven of Nine - Star Trek Voyager
Dot - Reboot
Aphrodite - Hercules & Xena
Well, I have to say that, growing up, I really had a thing for Penny from Inspector Gadget. She was 10, I was 10. She was single, I was single. I loved computers, she had the neatest computer-book-thingy on the planet. But I grew older, and she stayed the same age. We grew apart, I suppose, and eventually her show was cancelled. Sad, I know, but I worried about her, constantly rescuing her bumbling uncle in the Alps or something similarly dangerous, with only her loyal dog by her side…
::glancing around:: Was all of that out loud? Oh, my. I’ll go back to my hole, now.
I was gonna post a crush here, but upon further reflection I figured out it was the actor, not the character. At least I’m pretty sure that was it.
So I’m here just to say that JSexton’s sig line is seriously high on the obscure and cool meters so I wanted to give it a little respect. Maybe you know the answer to this question - was Vaughn Bode connected with it?
I don’t remember her name after all these years, but the female character from the TV version of Logan’s Run. I think it was the miniskirt that did it.
Dear God, please don’t let me be the only one to admit publically that I adored Bo Duke and Rick Simon. Please please please. I promise to you that I will eat all the veggies on my plate tomorrow if someone else here fesses up.
Now we move on to adult crushes.
Chandler Bing
James Bond. (Connery or Brosnan, doesn’t matter.)
Lewis on Drew Carey.
Harry Solomon on 3rd Rock.
Lenny Brisco from Law and Order. Any Time baby.
Excuse me while I go to my mental playground.
AMEN to that. Did you see the “Enzo’s Birthday” episode where she’s in the long red dress and singing? Yowza. And to think she’s only a computer generated sprite.
How about AndrAIa (sp?)? Especially in some of the later episodes.
Was it because she oozed intelligence and sexiness, or was it the leather? – Emma Peel (She’s sixty, long out of leather, and it STILL works. But the leather and the car helped.)
Okay, so what if she was a cartoon character and I was, like, thirty five? – Gem
What was I thinking? – Hayley Mills (sister Juliet was a different story)
She wore black and white; my TV was black and white. She was a kid; I was a kid. She was depressive; I was depressive – Wednesday Addams (original)
Cuz she’s lush and plush, the old-fashioned way – Aphrodite on “Hercules” (Say no to plastic and yes to cheeseburgers!)
Ooh-ooh! I can’t forget the first great love of my life – Angela Cartwright (On “Make Room for Daddy.” You children won’t remember it. But “Lost in Space” was so far beneath my contempt that not even her tin foil suit could get me to watch.)
James West and Artemis Gordon for “Wild Wild West”.
Dr. “Bones” McCoy from “Star Trek” Kirk was no match for Bones in my young heart.
Currently–Danny from “Sports Night” (intelligent, neurotic and cute–what more do you need)
and Jared from “The Pretender”–and that’s really divorced from the actor, because M. Weiss
comes across as arrogant as hell in the few interviews he does–he may be a nice guy,
but I’ll stick to dreaming about Jared.
