Very happy that Friday Night Lights got a nod for Best Drama as well as nods for Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton (for 2nd year in a row). There’s going to be a Texas sized hole in my heart after tomorrow night’s finale.

I’m also very happy with Parks & Rec getting a Best Comedy nod, with Poehler also getting recognized - but I’m bummed that nobody else from the cast of that show (or Community) got any notice. I love Modern Family but the number of nominations for that cast was a bit obscene, especially since I don’t feel that the second season was at the same quality as the first.

Another nomination I’m happy about is Joan Cusack for Shameless. She’s the best part of that show.

Especially happy to see Margo Martindale (Supporting Actress in the series Justified) nominated - she was brilliant in that role! Seriously, I will never forget her character - she fit it perfectly.

Also very happy to see Matt LeBlanc nominated for that great new series, Episodes. You can catch the entire 7 (8?) episodes of Episodes currently On Demand. My brother, cousin and his wife were in town and we showed them the entire first season, back-to-back, and they became huge fans of this off-beat, very funny comedy.

I’mm too lazy to break them all down by show, but Game of Thrones recieved 13:
•Best Drama Series: Game of Thrones
•Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister
•Writing in a Drama Series: David Benioff and Dan Weiss for “Baelor”
•Directing in a Drama Series: Timothy van Patten for “Winter is Coming”
•Casting in a Drama Series: Nina Gold and Robert Sterne
•Costumes for a Drama Series: Michelle Clapton and Rachael Webb-Crozier for “The Pointy End”
•Hairstyling in a Single-Camera Series: Kevin Alexander and Candice Banks for “A Golden Crown”
•Main Title Design: Angus Wall, Robert Feng, Kirk H. Shintani, and Hameed Shaukat

Hah!

Was Breaking Bad somehow not eligible?

Yeah, no season aired during this period. They will be eligible for next year’s awards - AMC Blog.

Peter Dinklage vs Walter Goggins, ouch tough choice.

Really sucks that *Community *didn’t get any recognition. I don’t watch BBT or Modern Family, but *Community *is much funnier than 30 Rock or The Office, and I’d even rank it a little higher than Parks and Rec.

Is The Office still getting a momentum vote from when it was good like 5 years ago? There’s no way it’s as good as Community now. Is Glee even a comedy? Every 5 minute chunk I’ve had the misfortunate of overseeing looked like a typical high school drama.

Also kind of weird that they just nominated the whole damn Modern Family cast for supporting actors.

It’s crazy that Donald Glover wasn’t even nominated. He’s not only the best comedic actor on TV now but possibly the best I’ve ever seen - he nails every single line perfectly. I wish I could find a better youtube compilation than this but everything is broken up into individual clips. You should be watching Community anyway.

I agree that it is an an outrage that Community was not nominated for Best Comedy. Donald Glover and Nick Offerman both were robbed.
