I very much doubt Q.E.D. is uninformed about the situation vis a vis the future switch to free posting, so if he wanted to spend the money, it was his to spend. And if he hadn’t wanted to do so, someone else would have. That sort of thing has been happening here for the last few years.

Actually there is compensation; mostly it feels good to work here. This is, after all, what we do for fun.
Just reading over that statement maybe I shouldn’t say anything else. Most of you are convinced we need a check up from the neck up already.
I honestly have no idea why you think any of that has to do with what I’m saying except for “it’s business as usual”, which is false and what I’m trying to point out. Ed has promised the business model is changing soon and yet you are taking subscriptions this late in the game regardless. That smells to me.
And you really should take a long look at why you decided to add that “We work so hard for nothing” point at the end. A little out of the blue, I must say.
