Well, that’s disturbing.
scared…
::happy place, happy place, hoshi place, hoshi place::
I think you should leave your correct spelling phaser on the curb. Er, kerb. Kerb! Kerb! PZzzzzzzztttt!
Q. How do you make a fool click on a phony website?
A. Just post the URL in a Trek thread.
Hey, CP, I saw some of your relatives yesterday in a botanical garden while I was away at Risa.
I’m back, baybeez!
Hey! Got Talosians?
I got me some. Three bags full, with two Talosians in each bag. They are solid plastic, with the right colors and surprisingly good detail.
Just had to share with the group.
Those were the dudes with the giant pulsing heads, right?
Plastic pulsing heads… surprising detail… right colors… hmmm…
Hello, K! Now, just to take the pressure off of you (us?) a bit, here are all those groovy Trekkin’ ladies of the 60s for the guys:
http://www.sixtiescity.com/startrek/LOST/Lost.htm
That ought to hold 'em for a few minutes.
I go away for a weekend and you poor buggars are left holding the–oh, just go click on the Trek Ladies link!
Actually, at least one of those Talosian “dudes” was played by a woman. What a weird universe this is.
NCB likes Yeoman Colt, as I recall.
All of them, were. Roddenberry thought the dichotomy between the feminine features and the masculine voices would be groovy or somethin’.
Stupid comma goin’ where I didn’t want it to. I try to be all smart and stuff by busitin’ out a big word like dichotomy and I fudge my punctuation. Hrmph.
The dichotomy?
See, when it’s late at night and you’re tired and wrapped up in a Trek thread, every other word seems to take on a new and different meaning.

And it’s hard to code properly with one’s eyes at half-mast.
Yes!
Also Andrea, and the human form of Isis.
All right, carnyplant, I ordered the DVD of the ST:TOS episode “Devil in the Dark” (which also came with “This Side of Paradise”) from Amazon.com, just so that I could check out that line.
I ordered it with next-day shipping, which was nearly as expensive as the DVD itself, I’ll have you know, just so that I could check out that line.
It arrived on my doorstep today, and after all the TV shows I wanted to watch were over with and it would have otherwise been time for me to retire, I popped my shiny new DVD of “This Side of Paradise”/“Devil in the Dark” into my DVD player, and played the entire episode of “Devil in the Dark” all the way through, just so that I could check out that line.
There were two places in the episode where Kirk and Spock made reference to “phaser 1” versus “phaser 2.”
And neither place – in fact, at no time during the entire episode – did Kirk or Spock or anyone else mention “phaser cutting phasers” !!!
Pah. That’s the last time I take your word uncritically in an Enterprise thread! :o
you didn’t order the uncut director’s version???
There’s an uncut director’s version of “Devil in the Dark”?! Where? Where?!
<tracer goes scurrying off to amazon.com again>
… Hey, wait a minute … !
uh, yeah. It’s OOP. I’ll sell you my copy. only $39.95.
::tracer plays tape, only to find “extra” scene added that looks like action figures in front of a crayon drawn background. Spock eventually fights Skeletor and dies, but Optimus Prime saves him::
You have a Spock action figure?!
(Actually, I do too. Mua ha ha. I have Kirk, Spock, Scotty, and the old Enterprise bridge set with the spinning transporter.)
in illinois. I also have 2 of the 137 year old McCoys! (because the packaging on one got ruined so i bought another and opened the first.) they are in a box somewhere with star wars and transformer toys worth college tuition for my future kids at my mom’s house.
