I don’t want to post any spoilers since I saw the Canadian version, but I rather liked it and am interested in seeing what others think.
Come on. Gimme some spoilers.
Um, when told to go left, watch which way they go.
There.
As much as you’d expect from the canadian version. Dammit, I missed this tonight. I guess now re-run season holds something for me.

Well, they go to rescue these guys who don’t want to be rescued…Most UPN affiliates will show it again Sunday. Email me if you want the tale. Nothing great, but it was pretty good. Beats reading the Straight Do…er, yeah, email me for details.
I liked it. Archer was more authoritative, and T’pol was not quite so arrogant and snotty. Still like the doctor best. It’s coming along. Next week’s looks like it’ll be good – the Andorians return!
My UPN affiliate shows it -Saturday- night at 8 PM. Na-na-ni boo-boo.
cough guess that shows what plans I have for Saturday night though, eh?

Are we allowed to post spoilers, now that it’s aired in the US? I hope so. WARNING!
For one thing, they also turn a direction which is not left (I’ll leave some mystery to it) in the US version.
I don’t have anything major to say about it, but I liked it. They finally did some good characterization for Lt. Malcolm Reed, I thought. He was the last one who needed it. Now that we know what everyone is supposed to be like, we can see them breaking out of their roles. I also liked how interfering with another culture put Archer into an ethical quandry.
I guess I’d call this a good if unremarkable episode. I also can not wait for next week’s episode. I was born well after TOS went off the air - can someone give me a crash course on what we know about Andorians?
I loved it! I especialy liked the fact tht the two words “prime directive” did not come up either.
I think they only appeared in Journey to Babel. The guy said “We are a warlike race” or “We are a savage race” when they look like little skinny blue roaches.
Shatner’s stunt double kick the snot out of one; no he was altered to resemble an Andorian.
What do we know about these guys? They’re blue; et phaser to “Hot-Shot”.
Okay, if they were supposed to be back by dawn, how come when they landed it was full daylight out? Must be some really bright third moon, or some really dim writers…
Who was the alien of the week-the guy who didn’t listen to his Mother? I think I’ve seen him on Trek before.
A balding Andorian was part of the Federation Council in Star Trek IV that judged Kirk, and Data’s daughter Lal had an Andorian as one of her final 4 appearance choices. That’s the only other ones i can recall seeing, though they have been mentioned several times (four in a marriage).
From what I remember, they’re prone to terrorism, and just generally bad tempered people. They are part of the Federation by the time of TOS, however. They may even be one of the founding members of the Federation, along with the Vulcans and Humans. I’m sure they’ll be one of the races that will be shat upon by the Romulans during the Romulan War.
Does anyone have the previews posted? They aren’t on the Canadian version, but then it has no commercials, either.
^:)^
I saw some stills from the preview, and they do look pretty cool.

But, er, now as then, how come bugs got hair?
I have a feeling that the Bad Astronomer is clenching his teeth at the idea of a slower-than light colony ship travelling 20 light years to another planet–in nine years. Maybe it’s a subjective thing, like all Treknobabble, or perhaps I missed the full explanation.
I can’t wait to learn how Andorrans went from being quiet mountain tourist guides to blue, antennae-sporting bastards. That should be very interesting.
I have been consistently and pleasantly suprised by this show, despite its obvious flaws. It is only now that I realize the only thing that kept me watching Voyager was the letter “D.” As in Jeri Ryan’s cup size.
When did they say that their ship was slower than light speed? I was cooking, so didn’t catch everything.
I though it was FTL, just not much.
In * Journey to Babel * the bug says they are war like or savage, I forget which; I was cleaning my can of RAID.
14 year age group, are you?
