I’ve just seen the trailer for the next star wars film, Episode II, and i have to say that i thought that it was pretty shit.
Im not a big fan of the series but I would still have seen the new movie.
The trailer consists of tiny snippets of the film, with nothing especially good being shown, with some Darth Vader heavy breathing over the top.
Has anyone else seen this?

I just saw the teaser too and I gotta say it looks pretty decent. There’s a cool looking scene with Boba Fett (or is it his father???) and some of the flying scenes grabbed my attention. Unfortunately the Jar-Jar factor is still present. But it’s got a lot darker look to it than Episode 1 so that alone should make it better than it, in the same way Empire was a much better movie that A New Hope.

Boba is 11 or 12 in Episode II. So it was probably his father.
I’m trying to convince my friends to see Episode II.
…while dressed as the cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000. We could get a script somewhere and come up with things to shout in advance.
We saw the trailer at the Monsters Inc. My two year olds comment “Mama, what was that?”
Its pretty choppy, and I think you have to be pretty well versed in Star Wars Lore to get it - but hey, we should all know the plot by now anyway.
Or it could be that organization that he got the armor from. It wasn’t unique to just him was it? We could see dozens of Boba Fett looking characters couldn’t we?
I may be totally wrong, but wasn’t this trailer determined to be totally fake…crop jobs from the other films?

Nope, you’re totally wrong. It’s all Episode II stuff. And it’s a sweet teaser. I saw it on Headline News, if you guys can’t get a decent feed (they played it a couple of times yesterday).

The jetpacking armored individual we see in this teaser trailer is Boba Fett’s father, Jango Fett. He’s slated to play a major role (and, I hear, be cloned like a sonofabitch) in Episode II.
There is a shot of Jango Fett shooting and spiraling in flight with a jet pack. I’m not sure how he is related to Boba Fett. He may be the setup for Boba Fett’s vendetta against the son of Anakin.
Wasn’t there a battle just like that in the PC game Dark Forces? This is gonna be great! Ever since I got the DVD I have gained more and more excitement about the prequel trilogy. I get great enjoyment from viewing Episode 1.
P.S. Jar Jar the noble Gungan has been spotted in the background thanks to skilled Quicktime dissection by a crack team of Star Wars apologists/critics.

Jango Fett is the character shooting at Obi-Wan as he flies away. He is the original that Bobba Fett is cloned from.
Obi-Won is hanging from a droid that was set to kill Padme.
Jar Jar only has about 10 minutes of screen time in the whole film.

Definitely not true. There was a photo of Jango minus the helmet at StarWars.com under their “Episode II Select” images, and he is obviously much older than Anakin. The actor playing him, Temuera Morrison, is 38 to Hayden Christiansen’s 20.
According to all the reliable script spy reports/spoilers I’ve seen, Jango provides the template for all of the clones, and as payment, gets to keep one to raise as a child. Bet you can’t guess what he names it.

I like the fake Episode II trailer at Adcritic.com better than the real one.
It’s not a trailer, it’s a teaser. The trailer is out in two weeks in front of Harry Potter.
By the way, Yoda is totally CGI this time, and not a puppet.
Well Palmyra, I’d say it’s a toss up between Tom Servo and Crow. One of my friends already has a Joel costume that she wore to my Halloween party last year. Her fiance came as Rimmer from Red Dwarf. Another of my friends is afraid of getting attacked by people dressed as Jedi or Darth Anonymous.
WW - yeah, I have a vague recollection that the armour belonged to some organisation fond of hunting Jedis.
