Epstein Files => Trump Impeachment & Conviction?

Other countries handling the Epstein revelations: investigations, media coverage, the stripping of titles, the accused lose their jobs

The USA: best we can do is let everyone involved run the country.

Of course it’s just an allegation so far - it was just recently reported to the police. You asked (in incredulous tones) what exact crime he could be charged with, and I answered you directly on point with an article from a highly reputable news source that police are assessing the evidence of an allegation of sex trafficking against him. The allegation is that Epstein trafficked a woman (an adult, in this case) into the UK to have sex with Andrew.

It may or may not amount to anything (and, given history on this issue so far, almost certainly won’t), but you have your answer, and it’s not “being sleazy.”

Bill Gates

I had no idea he was so bad. Was it known that he was involved with Eptsein’s crimes?

His wife has alluded to it as one of the reasons for her divorce.

Is there something about having insane amounts of money that makes you think it’s okay to stick your pecker into underage girls? I mean, I’ve never had much and if I did perhaps hookers and blow might be on my to-do list (or maybe not) but girls and blow would be wrong.

Maybe it’s inherent that the type of personality that drive one to acquire insane amounts of money also drives them the be amoral assholes. There are so many.

The latter, I think. Generally speaking, someone with a lot of compassion and empathy is less likely to be willing to make the kind of ruthless and harmful decisions necessary to become a billionaire.

A great weakness of capitalism, IMO - it really does reward greed, ruthlessness, lack of charity and empathy, etc.

I think wanting to have sex with underage kids is probably just as common across all socioeconomic backgrounds, but when your neighbor or the guy that works at the local machine shop or the homeless guy that hangs out at the mall gets caught, it’s not newsworthy, at least not on a national or global level.

I don’t think having all that money makes you think it’s okay, it affords you the means to do it and keep it hidden and it’s much more noteworthy when you get caught if you’re worth a billion dollars than if you live in a small apartment and drive a 15 year old Corolla.

I think it also makes a difference how old the underage person is. I know of a couple of adult men ( 19 and 35 ish) who were arrested and convicted of having sex with a 16 year old girl. It didn’t even get local news coverage. Pretty sure it would have if she had been much younger.

Yeah, let’s be clear, an adult being attracted to a close-but-not-quite-over-the-line teenager is not by itself the big deal, it’s their going ahead and doing something about it that is. But the majority of such people will think to themselves, “damn, she’s hot, but she’s only 15, nuh-uh, that’s not fair play”.

The other part of the equation for the rich/influential guy is whether his/her reaction will be “I have too much to risk” or “I can pay my way out of trouble”.

Well, the USA did have two convictions, and that is just a probe.

I actually asked what crime he could be “locked up” for.

Well, since I couldnt read it, how would I know?

And do you have a non-paywalled article i could actually read?

The article I linked is not paywalled for me, so this seems like a you problem. Nevertheless, let me Google that for you:

You’re welcome.

As of June 2025, the BBC has introduced a [digital paywall for BBC.com users in the United States.. The subscription service costs $8.99 per month or $49.99 annually, providing unlimited access to news articles, features, and the 24/7 BBC News livestream.

Key details regarding the BBC paywall:

Target Audience The paywall applies to users in the United States, with no plans to introduce it in the UK or other international markets at this time.

Looking forward to hearing the DoJ’s rationale for this redaction. Which “victim” are they trying to protect?

(source)

All redacted names are Donald Trump unless proven otherwise.

In this case, however, there’s probably a sound argument that revealing the name would identify an underage victim.

How so?

And yet, I was able in the US to read it just fine. :man_shrugging:

I assume we can put this tangent aside since I provided three more links to answer your original question.

Becasue the body of the email sounds like the sender is talking about herself , thanking him for a fun night. Which means there’s a decent chance that the email address will reveal her name.

Ah, thanks. I didn’t read it that way, but that makes sense.

I didn’t read it that way. I read it as a sick guy thanking Epstein for a fun night with his naughty little girl.

Yeah, that’s how I read it too. But without more context, either interpretation is possible.
