Any thoughts on the whether the bit with the photographer is foreshadowing something bad for Sam? I didn’t watch the previews. Anything going on there?
The ER scenes with the boy and the wife were almost too frenzied. I didn’t breathe until Sam’s birthday party.
One good thing – not much Gates time.
Don’t know what they were getting at with Sam and the photographer, other than I felt that they were hinting that Sam feels that she “missed out” on life because she had Alex so young. I’m so glad she didn’t chicken out of sending him away. He needs to come back with a new appreciation for his mom … they hinted at that with the phone call at the bar.
I felt that the scene with the illiterate husband and the wife’s corpse and Ray and Neala looking on awkwardly was just too dragged out and wierd. Too contrived.
With the little boy - it didn’t hook me in, for some reason. They could have taken the conflict further between the illiterate husband and the father (of the boy), but that went nowhere … why did the husband not know that he had hit someone else, if his brain scans were all clear? Yeah, he couldn’t read the exit sign, but that has nothing to do with recognizing someone else’s face. I must have missed something.
Ray and Neala, get together already!!
Also, what was up with the curly haired surgeon (De Banco?) and Neala? Did he say what I think he said?
I love his character and don’t like how he’s been acting lately. Favouring the student who has no idea what she’s doing over Neala? please.
Isn’t Sam simply being on the show a sign of bad things to come for Sam?

Mai Lee (sp?) is gonna get hers. Did you see that wicked look on her face when she got away with taking credit for Neela’s work?
I missed the beginning of the episode & came in right around this scene. I assumed it was going to be your standard ‘drunk-driver-kills-innocents’ thing. Obviously, that wasn’t the case - but I don’t understand how they got in a wreck to begin with. Are we supposed to infer can’t-read-boy was too busy staring at road signs to pay attention to his driving? What did that “I thought it was the right exit” stuff have to do with anything?
Maybe the sign the truck driver misread was Wrong Way – Do Not Enter.
I didn’t understand why she didn’t understand why he was mad at her. I thought it was pretty clear it was about her being unwilling to do that surgery that time. But I guess that’s what they were referring to when he said, no, it wasn’t that.
Have Neela and Ray smooched or anything yet? They did refer to it being uncomfortable but is that in the aftermath of something or not??
I’m pretty sure Ray and Neela slept together an episode or two back. They kissed in the car. I don’t remember if they woke up together or not.
I was a bit surprised that Gates didn’t try to engage more with Neela this week. Sarah just spent a few days with her grandparents – seems like a missed opportunity for Gates and Neela to be together. Did I miss an episode where Neela asked him to back off for awhile?
I totally missed the ep. where Sam sent Alex away. Was it the same one in which he burned down their apartment or something? 'Cause I missed that too, if so.
Wasn’t there a scene in the promos showing a man shoving Sam to the floor? Did I miss something by not catching the first ten minutes?
I think it was the next ep; he goes to a boarding school for troubled kids kind of deal. He was the sullen teenager all the way and then begged not to stay and to come home when she was leaving.
