Well, monty, i’ve read the posts that you linked to, and while some of estilicon’s posts seemed pretty odd, there were plenty of personal insults flying around from all sides, including yours.
These insults, thrown by you and estilicon, were not just related to specific posts in that thread, but also included general insults about one another’s stupidity, need for a doctor, etc., etc. When relations between two Dopers descend to that level of invective, then it’s a bit naive to get all offended when it carries over into other threads.
I don’t question your right to pit estilicon, whenever and however you want, but i’m not sure you can expect too much sympathy when your own behaviour towards that person has not exactly been above reproach.
Also, all the threads you linked to were already Pit threads, where Dopers can often expect some less-than-savory insults to be thrown around. Why not just reply in those threads, rather than starting a new one? I was always under the impression that pitting someone, as you’ve done here, was done in order to move the argument away from a rational, level-headed forum (GD, GQ, etc.) to a place where insults were acceptable. When the thread in question is already in the Pit, why bother with a new one?
Pit threads have subjects, too.

Check again the shuttle thread monty you started with the insults. This is the second time you sent me to the pit (you admited you were wrong the last time). This time I can’t complain.
My english is not perfect but it is pretty good, the reason why sometimes it seems that my posts belongs to two (or three) different persons is that when in a hurry or angry I start thinking in spanish and translating while typing.
Finally it was a cheap shot, I am sorry for doing it. But Monty sometimes you are an asshole, you are too sensitive and you aren’t the nicest person to have a discussion with. Buy a thicker skin, grow a sense of humor and calm the fuck down.
