Robbie Williams does a strip. Only he doesn’t stop with just his clothes, he also tears his skin off, then peels his muscles off, splashing all the girly audience with blood and guts, until he’s a dripping dancing skeleton.

FWIW, I think it’s a fantastic video. Sure, it’s kind of daring. I think they let it premiere on a saturday afternoon on a big screen in London’s biggest Virgin Megastore (for those not in the know: this is a recordstore, not a place where one buys fair maidens): a lot of people were NOT amused…
Great special effects, and a superb irony to it as well. I’m sure all you barfers do understand what mr. Williams is trying to tell us with this clip, right?
Robbie Williams ehhh? I’ve yet to see the clip (over in America people aren’t all to hung up on Mr. Williams). Myself I’m a big Robbie Williams fan so now I’ll have ot be glued to my cable, miss all my classes here at college, not go to work and become a hermit just to rejoice in seeing it. Okay well maybe I’m NOT that big a fan but still you get the picture. But in all likelyhood if it is from him it’s got to be out there.
The video is actually banned ina couple of countries, and is shown here with a ‘line your stomachs, folks’ warning even after 9pm.
And I know why. The muscle peeling bit is unprecedentedly icky.
Still, I think Robbie Williams is cool - you can see it in his expressions in the video how he’s just a regular guy with a cool job, so he’s having fun with it.
He also gets to sleep with any woman he wants, which has its own mysterious appeal.
I’d say his hype is working. I’ve not heard a single note from Robbie Williams, I’ve only even heard of him via an Entertainment Weekly article, but I really want to see this video now. I’m kind of awed by good special effects.
Yes, the special effects are great.
Yes, I completely understand the irony, the message Mr. Williams is trying to show us.
But that doesn’t make that video less icky.
I LOVE this video! Having heard about it several weeks ago from a Canadian friend I download it. Robbie is a class act, despite his teeny-bopper past. It’s just one big “Fuck you!” to all those middle-aged British women that voted him sexiest man alive last year.
Then again, maybe I have a cast-iron stomach.

I really like this video aswell. Mr. Williams is a bit of knob but he does make the odd good video.
Has anyone seen his newest? It’s a mock docu. which splices him in with events in the 70’s formula one scene. It’s very good and really suits the song.
I actually saw a programme on TV about the making of this video. They made Robbie a latex full body suit of the muscles, and then used make up for the face.
What amused me though was the clips at the end of the film, showing him messing about after filming by wandering down the road trying to hail a cab, and waving at a police car.
