Even If It Is Christmas We Must Have A MMP!

 if they were on a table
[sup]11[/sup] if you were wearing them.
Gordie has had his long morning walk. It’s 31 degrees outside.

No ---- they say “sorry ---- eh?”
Woke up heavily congested with the start of a good cold and sore throat; will go right to Mucinex. If I go to work will ask for a non-drafty assignment where I can infect coworkers. If I don’t go I lose my 8 hours of Holiday Pay since the Rule of Da Jungle is you have to work the shift before and after the Holiday to qualify. Which would mean basically the loss of 12 hours total. :smack: After all I did this Peak I ain’t looking forward to something like that.

Back from breakfast, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart. MIL needed a new universal remote and a new charger for their laptop. The rest of the day promises to be boring. Soooooooooo ready to go home!

Happy Boxing day to all.

Been up since dawn and we’re off to the beach in a few. Dinner was huge food & pleasant company. Most of the wreckage is put away. Aged MIL was in fine fettle.

Several of us have been working on catching a cold for the last few days. Every time 10,000 New Yorkers fly into town for a visit all us locals catch their disease. Vit C, don’t get overtired, and hope they all leave soon. It’s all we can do.

Happy Boxing Day. My car thermometer read MINUS TWO driving to work. I will see Ariel tonight but not ride. I need Vicks Vape-O-Rub for my nostrils. My nose is very itchy.

To clarify, I find cooking large meals relatively straightforward. You make a schedule, working back from when you want food on the table. You assign workers jobs, if you have workers, or you just do it on your own, and have folks outside of your work zone visiting. In my family, if I’m not hosting, there is no clear “owner”, so they are just run around like chickens with their heads cut off, getting more and more angry. The threats are mostly on the order of “I’m going to leave and get dinner out” (oh please!) It’s dramatic, but annoying,

Good plan! We’re cooking (an hour past designated time to table now). :smack:

I, man, cats. That’s all I got.

Definitely, I support you.

I’m with you. Ready to go home!!! We’re going to have another Christmas this weekend, since my husband didn’t get to have Christmas at all.

Happy Toosday!

It’s N.O.S. outside, but it’s only 30 degrees. I don’t need to go out today and I won’t.
I do need to go out sometime this week to use my Plenti Points before they expire.
Friday looks to be the warmest day this week, it will get all the way up to 32.

The dog is spinning around trying to catch his tail. After a few spins he falls over. Then he gets up and chases his tail some more.
He’s so silly.

Breakfast this morning was a slice of pizza.
Lunch was a slice of ham and some white cheddar popcorn.

(That is 28.4 USA.)

I thought WetOne was USA?

I am USA. That is minus 2F. I said Happy Boxing Day because sometimes I pretend to be British.

My apologies, and that is darned cold!

Howdy Y’all! Today I have achieved spiffin’ da cave, N.O.L., and nappage. Go Me!

Boxing Day is spiffy. We should have one.

blurfAs expected tis been a tetch busy here today. I have spent most of the day in the main office just talking to folks to help keep them from getting aggravated having to wait. One clerk is very fast and the other acts like this is her first day on the job. They both started at the same time. I really need her to speed up. I have already told her that she lacks confidence in her ability and that there is not much she can screw up that I can’t fix so get a move on. We shall see if she proves me wrong.

Today seems like Moanday for sure.

The knob on the washer broke. Searching for old Kenmore parts on the web, I find them running at $25, and out of stock. Google shopping yields one for $5 on Ebay. It arrived today, and fits. Kewl!

Christmas has been put away here. We’re mostly packed for departure tomorrow. Can’t wait to be home again. Looking forward to 5 days of relative chillage.

I had a bowl of beef ‘n veggie soup and a grilled cheese sammich. YUM! Nice to be able to yank a container of soup outta da freezer, heat and eat. OYKW will be back Thursday evenin’. He has informed me he wants aigs Benedict for his birthday suppage. His birthday is Tuesday next week. Fortunately for him I know how to make Hollandaise sauce and poach aigs. Spoiled brat!

Be careful, Hollandaise can smell fear.

Lazy day, all I did was clean the bathroom, take the trash out, do a load of clothes and sweep up the leaves on the foyer. Having a martini.

I get mistaken for Canadian. I guess because I’m polite and like hockey.

ruble, feel better soonest!

sari, Nelson chases his tail like that sometimes. Usually, it’s when we come in from outdoors and I take his harness and outerwear off. Silly puppy.

The silly pup is also a smart pup. We’re working on the sit command. He’s doing well so far. It takes a couple of tries, but he’s beginning to connect praise, affection and a treat with the hand gesture and command now.

Irk was slow. I got some project stuff done and turned in a couple of large adjustments that will take director level signatures before the 31st. The floors are swept and mopped, supper is et. Chill time.
