We have the entirety of Cecil County in MD! It includes the town of Cecilton.
Long day today. We had our *second *Final Product Review this afternoon - starting after my normal quitting time, of course. They gigged us on such stupid things as whether we should use “None” or “N/A” to indicate that the information was not available, they had issues with the template of the product - over which we have no control - including a missing comma in one label, and they argued whether we should label our imagery as “Near” and “Far” or put a scale. Um, no, we don’t put scales on imagery - scales go on maps. Plus they didn’t like some of the verbiage that, oddly enough was fine at the last Final Product Review. <headdesk>
It took almost 90 minutes to answer these momentous issues, and tomorrow morning, I get to add a comma to 19 image labels, fix 9 web pages, and upload 20-some pictures and maps. Yeah, I love my job…
Daughter and I went to Salsa’s for supper. I got the Pollo Fiesta - OMG was it wonderful tonight! And I’ve got enough left over for lunch tomorrow - not bad for a $7.25 entree!
That’s all I’ve got. Gonna read the funnies, then knit for a while. I’s tahred. **FCD **woke up about 2AM, so I woke up about the same time. ugh. C’mon, Firday!
Morning all! Up and caffeinating, a bit late today. :dubious: Yeah yeah … LOL More than a bit, okay! At least we’re one day closer to FIRDAY!
I haven’t been able to come up with any other unusual place names yet! Do crazy place names that your father made up count? Like the Chimpanzee Bridge (Tappanzee)? LOL According to my dad, chimps tossed cars over the river …
I was visiting at my old place of work and some guy that I didn’t know walked by and asked me out for coffee but before I could say ‘no thanks, I’m not available,’ he walked out of the room. Then I walked outside and there was an open air train and it wasn’t moving so I got inside and sat down. Suddenly it started moving and I found myself on quite the rollercoaster ride, but not strapped in. So, I called my friend at the former workplace and asked her to call the place to get the train stopped. After awhile, though, I realized that it was a rollercoaster and that I had landed at Disney World! Well, I wondered around for awhile looking for Cinderella’s Castle so that I could take a picture and send it to my parents because I knew they would never believe that I was at Disney World. I never did find it.
We’re finally supposed to have some rain here, starting tomorrow. It’s been nearly 5 months since it’s rained (this is normal here…) and it’s about time!
Oh, and I’ll procrastinate when I get a round tuit. I keep getting these square tuits all the time though, so I have to keep working…
Annie, I’m keeping you and your hubby in my thoughts.
It’s been a hell of week here at the office. I’m so glad today is my Friday. My first day back was horrible and it’s only gone downhill. I’m not going into it; it would be TLDR.
I live in a town that has a funny name. I live in Puyallup. It’s real interesting to hear people who aren’t from around here try and pronounce it. It’s actually the name of a Native American tribe here. We have lots of city, town, and river names that are attributed to tribes or things tribes named. Humptulips, Nisqually, Nooksack, Tulalip, Sequim, Puyallup, Skookumchuck, and the list goes on. Those are just the names I can think of right now. The caffienation hasn’t fully set in yet.
We’re having friends over Saturday night, and my husband has informed everyone I’m making my world-famous lasagne. I’m not real thrilled about all that, but I’ll comply. The only reason I’m not thrilled is because my son has to drive to bumfuck Egypt to take his SAT that day and I was going to drive him just because I want to ensure he gets there. It’s just one more thing to squeeze in that day, along with the attendent “company cleaning” kind of thing.
Oh well, I’ll try and get most of the cleaning and shopping done tomorrow.
Hugs and smooches to all!
Taters-
Wishing she was still in Kauaii soaking up the sun and warm tropical breezes.
