midget, standing all day takes practice; you would’ve probably had it by the end of the week, if you were able to survive that long.
But this one has a climate controlled cab so you can mow during those hot Jawjan afternoons.
(loaded with extra lead fishing weights)
What’s treif about catfish, he’s smacking you with it, not serving it to you?
I like to annoy certain people.
:dubious:
My sister had a job where she had to stand all day, and she said it took about a week to get used to it. Though she was walking and moving around more than I was yesterday.
Though the supervisor yesterday did say that there was no work tomorrow (today,) so I wouldn’t’ve been able to go in to work today anyway.
I was wondering if maybe, while looking for work in the days to come, I can do a bit more walking than usual, to get used to standing up/walking around more.
Do you know how lucky you are? To find something in life that you not only like but are exceedingly qualified for? :dubious:
If you had known that today was an off day, & you were able to tough out the day yesterday, I would have said to stay all day yesterday, recover today, & tomorrow wouldn’t have been as bad.
IMO, walking is easier than standing, but being on your feet no matter what you’re doing is better training than not.
CLEAR!
ZZZZZZTTT
(MMP successfully revived)
dogio, you’re off every day!
Sorry about the job, Emily.
yum!
Howdy Y’all! Takin’ a break for a bit. I am amazed at how much I’ve gotten done today with very little interruption. A bunch of paperirk uploaded for final approvals, several start dates for new participants next week now in place, caught up on case notes, listened in on a teleconference, and prepped stuff for tonight’s dindin even. Go Me! In a bit I shall spend some time with online trainin’ I need to catch up on.
Midget sorry the job didn’t work out.
MOOOOOOM allegedly the roll bar is to provide stability whilst mowin’ at an angle. I figured out how to do that a long time ago however. Go sloooooooow. :D.
Spidey we raised money to buy the new mower. There’s just so much new fangled people are willin’ to go with when bein’ asked to fork over money. I’ve actually used a mower with a cab before. ‘Twas neat but I felt like I was trapped the whole time. I say one needs to get all sweaty and dusty whilst mowin’. It builds character.
We have survived the opening weekend of Faire. And I do mean survived. It was so hot that people were visiting the blacksmith to cool off. The temperature got to 108 behind the chocolate booth, and our first aid staff was busy tending to patrons who don’t understand what that kind of heat does to a body and that alcohol multiplies that effect.
Roll bars on mowers means that some dang fool tipped over on a hill, so now the mower makers need to attempt to protect idiots.
Did it have air conditioning and a beverage holder?
IRKING. Seems all I do is irk. I have finally got a handle on my employee evaluations. Not one of my favorite tasks but now I know I can at least get them turned in on time.
The weather today has been overcast and dreary but no rain has fallen yet.
Been a productive day for da bear and now it’s over! YAY! I have zucchini and yellow squish roastin’ in the oven. The mac 'n cheese will go into the convection oven in a bit to get all melty and bubbly. The ham steak will get tossed on the grill for a few minutes once the veggies and mac ‘n cheese finish doin’ their thangs. Go Me! Also, I roasted some chikin boobs in the slow cooker today for dindin tomorrow. Take that June Cleaver!
flytrap the mower was air conditioned and had a cup holder. In addition to feelin’ closed in the whole time the a/c had one settin’, on. It got too cold in there but I couldn’t turn it off cause then it’d be immediately hawt. Like I said, one is supposed to get sweaty and dirty when mowin’. That’s why we reward ourselves with beerverages afterward.
gotti some folks is just dumb. Oh and re the mower, perzactly. This mower also has a seatbelt which to me anyways does make some sense. Or not. I shall determine that the first time I mow while wearin’ the seatbelt.
Home! I was hoping to get an idea of how long my non-stopping commute home would take, but about half a mile from home, a pole was down leaning over the northbound lane, so traffic had to take turns (with sheriff assistance) and big trucks couldn’t get past. I think I spent 10 minutes dealing with that mess. ugh.
**FCD **doesn’t feel like eating - so much for making chicken teriyaki for supper. We’ll just have it tomorrow then. Dunno what I’ll have tonight, but I’s stahvink!!! And tahred. Long day…
Irk was more irksome than usual due to our EDC being down which meant I had to call in eleventy million manual credit card authorizations today.
Midget, a lot of standing all day depends on your shoes. You need good ones. That’s why I have medical-grade inserts specially molded to my feet in mine. (I need another pair of those. Note to self: get some.)
I got myself pumped up for NaNoWriMo today. I think I just might could be able to do it.
If it happened right after the phrase “Hey y’all, watch this!” was uttered then the mower company isn’t liable. True fact.
ugh Happy Tuesday
I woke up at 1:30am and thought it was 7:30am, got up and started doing stuff. After wondering why it wasn’t getting lighter outside I looked at the clock and realized my mistake. I still couldn’t sleep until Columbo came on at 7am- one I don’t remember having seen before- so of course I promptly fell asleep. My alarm woke me at 10, and thus I have been off kilter and blurfy all day.
Dindin was teh nummiest! OYKW said I done good. High compliment!
doggio lawn mower joustin’ with the Methodists sounds like fun. The Methodists have a big and wide open lawn in front of their church that would be perfect! Then again dodgin’ pee-kahn trees whilst lawn mower joustin’ at our place sounds intriguin’. Obviously we will have to have home and home contests!
Supper was box mac-n-cheese. At least it was easy.
I’ve started crocheting another hat. I need to shower tonight so I can get out by 5:15 in the morning and get to the office by 6. Can’t wait till this becomes routine.
Gonna have a nice hot shower, then veg briefly before crashing. TAHRED!!!
MWAH!
