Medical leave all agreed to. Starts tomorrow. 90 days. A few forms to get faxed around. I hardly know what to do with myself. Hopefully this is a good thing.
Kielbasa and N.O.T. Was et for din-din. Youngest child has already been shoved into bed. 'Twill probably be an early night chez Sunny.
What is the stuff they give you when you have surgery so you don’t feel it? And why can’t I get a prescription for it? The painkiller component of anesthesia seems to be the only stuff that works on me. Vicodin makes me itch and have trouble breathing. Percocet makes me itch then have a headache the next day. Neither does much for pain. Whatever was in the pump after my spinal fusion was utterly useless and I was glad my doc had left orders for Percocet so I could at least have a tiny bit of relief.
I don’t know what’s in them, but nitrous makes for a far better dental experience than just Novocaine. Just thinking of the sound of the drill and the feeling of the pressure in my mouth is enough to get me close to an anxiety attack. Last cavity I had done, I asked to be put under, and it was a much better experience.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified, so no YAWN. We’re goin’ to Pearly’s for brekkie. YUM! ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 76 for the day and rain this afternoon. We shall see. Then again, I am headed down to the near southeast forty this mornin’ so that will probably up the chance of rain.
birdnapper hope you’re feelin’ better to day. Butters hope the hubby is feelin’ better as well. {{{Lucky Louie}}} bless his heart!
OK, I hear rumblins from the bedroom so I reckon we’re headin’ out.
I had a strange indicator light on in my car and no clue what for. So, I pulled out the manual and it was a Low Tire Pressure light. Thank goodness that was all it was.
Another pretty day here. It’s a sunny 53 degrees with a high of 79.
When I was in the hospital I got dilaudid and oxycodone - not at the same time. I don’t remember any pain, but I don’t remember much of anything else either. Little things, like how the nurse would come in the door, then she’d be across the room putting on gloves saying she was going to give me a shot, then she’d be next to the bed. I never saw her walk, it was just kind of a poof!, she was over there and now she is over here.
I’d get out of bed to go sit in the chair and next thing I knew I was sitting on the side of the bed because while I thought I had gotten up and was sitting in the chair I really hadn’t.
Like one big trip on acid so if there was any pain I don’t remember
I do remember the* bourbon chicken*. I have never been so sick in my life. It is only now that I can even look at those words without throwing up.
Howdy Y’all! One more day of irk survived. Dindin tonight shall be magic intartoobz pizza. I tell teh intartoobz what I want and OYKW shows up with what I said. MAGIC! Plus there will also be a brownie because my sixty year old child wants brownie.
Normally, I would, but he wasn’t feeling well, and since I’m nice, dammit, I let him sleep while I tended to the brat.
Last night, I actually slept thru, except for a momentary bladder urgency around 2AM. So there’s that.
I kinda sorta got to learn stuff today - I was put with another drafter and I was asking her stuff about the software and general procedures in the office. I also determined that while she’s a very nice lady and mostly competent, she’s not all that bright about some stuff that I thought was pretty basic with regards to drafting. Still no idea when I’ll have a computer and a cubicle, but at least by hanging with her, I’m kinda sorta getting familiar.
I stopped at Penney’s on the way home and picked up a couple of pairs of pants that I’d ordered. Meatloaf for supper. DQ later. Laundry tomorrow. Exhaustion tonight.
Internet pizza and brownie have been ingested. ‘Twas good. I must have wanted pizza. I have a hunk o’ beast in the slow cooker that shall get turned into my version of Philly cheese steaks for tomorrow’s dindin.
I have the windows open in da cave. It’s breezy and a might coolish out. I like bein’ able to air the place out. I have ceilin’ fans goin’ but no a/c. This makes me happy to use less of the 'lectricals.
