Supper was yum and I’s stuffded. I’m also beat - I see an early bedtime tonight. After DQ, of course.
Jawja cheesesteaks?
Time to log off and veg. MWAH!!
Perzakly! These shall be roast beast with gravy, peppers 'n onions, 'shrooms, and pepper jack cheese. Maybe even some jalapeños. They pretty much must be eaten with a knife and fork cause they be messy.
Worked, came home. Marinating some chicken for Italian breaded chicken tonight.
Ruble, so you went reverse postal?
'Tis time to retire to the bed chamber to watch teevee until sleepy time which will not be long for da bear. I’s tahrd!
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Clay birds ---- this time. Not much meat but easy to find.
The last .22 ammo I found was some Swamp People special edition so -------- I could be talked into gators.
That one I’m writing down for future use.
Dinner was home-done wiener wraps. Just what I wanted today with this warm spell during the turn colder.
A friend of Mrs. Plant (v.2.0, the bitch), a small lady of about my size, shot traps with a .410, I believe a semi auto. She was quite impressed with it as compared to a heavy 12 gauge.
We had Cube steak, rice and gravy, butter peas and a baked sweet tater which we forgot to eat.
I is tired. Our friend and housekeeper’s 26 yr old son was found dead last Monday. Probable drug overdose. I feel so bad for her and his siblings. Dumb ass kids. He has a baby on the way. Just very sad and unnecessary. And the bad part is there is nothing anyone can say or do to make it better. Hubby gave her $250 as we know she has no money. Sad.
I have almost finished those employee evals. Another 45 uninterrupted minutes and I should be done. Problem is finding 45 uninterrupted minutes. Phones, knocks at the door and pop up stuff make it almost impossible to get anything done. May need to either stay late after closing or go in extra early to get it done.
I feel horrible for those poor folk trampled to death at the Hajj. In other news the Pope is visiting as that is all there is on the news. That and Trump. Geez, other news does happen. Makes me want to throw something at the TV.
Ok y’all. Off to try for sleep. At least tomorrow is Firday. Woo Hoo.
**Butters **- when the Pope was in our neighborhood (DC), it was all Pope, all the time on the local stations. Good luck trying to find out anything else in the world…
As for finding 45 minutes - you need to put a sign on your door that says “Don’t knock unless you’re on fire!!” That might help.
Good morning, and so much for sleeping in. **FCD **didn’t secure the dog’s crate properly last night, and shortly after 5, she managed to get herself out and she came bounding into our bed. I got up to tend to her, hoping my sweetie would sleep in, but a few minutes later, he was in the shower. Oh well…
I’m going to try to get a couple of loads out on the lines, but there’s a big mass o’rain to the south moving at us. Theoretically, it’s not gonna hit till tonight - we shall see how well things dry. I suspect I’ll be finishing everything in the dryer, but with rain promised all weekend, today’s my only chance. dammit.
And the gym is closing at 11 today, meaning we need to get over there this morning no later than 10. It’s gonna be one of those days - I can see it already.
Whatever. Happy Firday.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and drizzly with a predicted high of 75 and drizzly all day. For real rain might be possible this afternoon. We shall see. In other news, the last of the stained glass windows for the church house are supposed to be delivered and installed today. I may drive over this evenin’ to see. Or not. I’m kinda willy-nilly that way.
OK that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. I have a two hour conference call on the agenda. I wonder how many games of solitaire and/or free cell I can play durin’ the call.
Happy Firday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, working closing shift tonight. it’s drizzling.
I’ve got 2 loads out on the lines and the last in the washer. Done showered and dressed for the gym. Loaded the dishwasher. Not bad before 8AM…
Happy Firday!
Looks like it’s going to be another pretty day today. Yesterday got a bit warm but the house is staying cool. No heat and no AC, open windows, just the way I like it.
Other than that SSDD
Ugh. Feuding with my sister, again. I wish she wouldn’t get so upset and cranky over stupid things. I just can’t deal with this sometimes.
I sort-of-accidentally attended my first-ever political rally yesterday. (There’s an election soon in Canada, for those who didn’t know.) I’m not much into political events, but I just happened upon this rally. I don’t post much about politics on this board (for the time being…) so I guess I’ll stop talking about that now.
Went to a broadcast of a local radio show this morning. The host told me that alto clarinet sound nice, so yay.
Cool!
They vote in Canada? Who knew?
Hell of a shot; you are probably safer without her. Usually .410s are more skeet than trap but I’ve seen a few people using them here and there in my travels. With a really tight choke and crisp aim it can be done. Me? I usually go 12-bore and 1&1/8 ounce loads.
One thing though - nothing in the rule book says a 12 gauge has to be heavier than a .410. Most are but its more because of the added recoil than any real need. I just use my normal field guns but my buddy has a special trap gun that probably weighs less than most of the standard .410s out there. Kicks like a mule with normal target loads so he uses these Winchester “Feather-lite” <sic?> loads - but stuff like that is floating around out there for those who are interested.
Finally broke your son of his window-closing habit?
Back from the gym and grocerying. I was going to pick up a gallon of milk. Walked out of the store $70 later (would have been closer to $100 if I hadn’t had some good coupons and the Food Lion loyalty card.) And the peasants rejoiced because Diet Sierra Mist Cranberry is available again!!! WOOHOO!! I got 2 cases, and I’ll get some more later in the week. It’s one of our favorites, but it disappears in December.
I guess now it’s time for some sloth. Well, actually, it’s time for lunch, which I’m ingesting as I post. Then sloth.
You realize that you have a problem, don’t you?
I have lots of problems, but my enjoyment of this particular beverage ain’t one of them.
