Well, some people in Canada do vote, and I wish more would.
Oh, and at the radio show event I went to today, I got…
FREE COFFEE!
And I sold 3 sheet music items recently, so that’s nice. A clarinet choir piece I wrote, a folk song arrangement for clarinet quartet, and a folk song arrangement for piano.
Everything would be going nicely for me if it weren’t for this damn family feud. I dread when my sister will get home, because I don’t know what mood she’ll be in, and I suspect it will be bad.
I’m sorry to hear about your housekeeper’s son, butters.
swampy, if you turn of the soud, Minesweeper is another good one to [del]fritter away time[/del] occupy one’s time whilst on a conference call.
It looks like I ma get out of here early today. I hope so. That way I can get in grocery shopping or couple of loads of laundry before heading up to a gathering of friends this evening.
Oh, come now! Wasting your employer’s time at work with some brainless, silly game. That is ridiculous. Play freecell instead.
Or try 2048.
Guess I shoulda seen that coming - it’s started to sprinkle, so I had to bring the laundry in. Most of it is still wet or damp. So, into the dryer it goes. A few things were lightweight enough that they dried, but most things are still damp or very damp. Oh well…
Howdy from da cave! Let the weekend begin! Yes I did leave irk early. Two p.m. to be exact. Get over it flytrap. I went by the church house to see the new windows. They’s purty!
Soonish I shall begin the makeage of dindin. For now, however, 'tis beerverage time!
And they pay him for this.
:dubious:
Yes FCM I did break him of the window closing habit. Except for the one kitchen window. The one over the sink stays open all the time, the other one he’ll still close when I’m not looking.
Now if I could get him to open his bedroom windows.
I guess I should head up to take a shower, I’ve been trying to get up there all day and keep getting sidetracked. I had to take a nap, then eat some lunch - can’t take a shower on an empty stomach, then a friend called. Her daughter’s bf had open heart surgery yesterday. This is the daughter whose husband tried to kill her. Her new bf is such a nice man, very supportive. He even paid her son’s college tuition because the asshole father will only comply with what is required by the state.
My other friend’s granddaughter is supposed to get out of the hospital today. I haven’t heard anything but since that friend works nights I never call her during the day. If I’m up at night I call her, if she’s up during the day she calls me. She’s quitting her job to take care of the baby 0 so maybe we can talk at normal times.
All my other friends have major stuff going on as well, I’m sorry for them but for once it’s nice that the the biggest problem I have is aarp started sending me crap again and those pesky phone calls.
Gonna put dinner in the over and then get a shower.
Last few pairs of jeans are in the dryer - the rest of the laundry is done. My order from Land’s End came - 2 polo shirts and a white sweater. I’ve got plenty of clothes for work now. Yay!
**FCD **doesn’t want me to cook for supper, which means we’ll probably end up going out when he’s starving. We shall see.
URP 'Scuse me! Must be the peppers, onions, and jalapeños. Plus leftovers for tomorrow’s N.O.L. Win-Win!
sari have you showered yet?
**FCD **had a hankerin’ for pancakes, so we let Cracker Barrel make supper. I had the haddock - I’s stuffded!
It’s drizzly and chilly and breezy out - I actually broke out my fuzzy robe! I’m betting Taz will want to sleep under the cover tonight. He’s a wuss!
It’s drizzly out here as well but the temp is warmer than last night and no breeze. Still it’s nice enough out to have da cave windows open.
And on that note, we shall retire to the boudoir to watch teevee and so forth until sleepy time. We’s tahrd bears tonight.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
I think I’ll assume the recline position and try to finish the hat, then crash.
MWAH!
Yes I finally did
I got dinner in the oven, Sah-son set the timer and took it out.
It isn’t good, I layered frozen ravioli with frozen meatballs and baked in jarred spaghetti sauce. I think a putting a little extra ricotta between the layers would have made it better, and cut the meatballs in half.
What made it bad though was the spaghetti sauce was with roasted garlic and as much as I love garlic it is too much.
Sah-son couldn’t even eat it so there are lots of leftovers for me. Rah!
Actually the meatballs could work with some Italian bread, something that would tone down the garlic a little.
I looked of U of MD tuition today. I thought since it’s within walking distance and Sah-son can get a grant why not check it out. Oh boy, it’s more than 2.5 times what the community collage costs. He can do two years at HCC. We’ll cross the U of MD bridge when we come to it.
He’s doing well, has an A in English, a low A but still an A. He has no idea how he is doing in Art because no grades have been posted yet. The instructor said he’d start posting grades at the beginning of week 3 and this is the end of week 5. I understand his point of not wanting to post grades until he sees who is staying with the class, why grade papers if you don’t have to? But some feedback would be nice.
I would get a Holiday Hawk tattoo if I could figure out a way to make it sing. The Old Wench and I love that stuff too!!!
And as soon as they form a SMCSA (Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash Anonymous) I’ll start going to meetings. Until then its a road trip to Maryland if that’s what it takes to stock up.
Yes ---- its that good. And I actually hate regular Sierra Mist.
People are crazy - or wth are they thinking?
Just found out on FB somebody I know is going to be a daddy again.
He’s my age or there about anyway - which means he will be @76 when his kid walks across the stage to graduate HS.
He seems to be pleased (and surprised) about it, I will keep my mouth shut. Considering his lifestyle(heavy drinking and gambling), I hope he buys a lot of life insurance. Or I don’t know, maybe he cleaned up his act. Last I heard he got fired for threatening violence on one of his employees. When I worked for him he told me he wanted to bite my nipple off and chew on it . Such things don’t bother me, I consider the source, but some other women at irk were not too fond of him.
I wonder who was dumb enough to get pregnant by him.
Just WOW. I tune in for a little gossip and catching up, and we’re at chewed boobies.
Taste testing different tonics tonight myself. Turns out some of the fancy pants brands are really yummy. Have I mentioned that I like Gin & Tonic?
2 days into my leave. Still have a migraine. My husband keeps asking. :p. On the plus side (and it’s a biggie), I am NOT driving 4 hours a day. So there’s that.
94 today. Blurf! Off to chase the kids to bed.
Relatively smooth shift, with the biggest problem being the crazy lady who called twice, the first time asking for “the vegan cashier”, the second time for “the vegetarian cashier”.
I work in a thrift store.
I worked. The rain drove the crazies into the store. Thank God I have beer.
WOOHOO! And sorry about the family drama.
Sunny, what kinds? I’m a fan of gin and G&Ts myself.
