Everyone cheer me on: DFW dopers, you want to do it in person?

I’m going to be in a Belly Dance contest Saturday evening. Top prize is $500 and a gig at the same restaurant the next week. Wish me luck!

If anyone local would like to come cheer me on, I’d love that. The contest is being held at Sinbad’s (middle eastern restaurant) which is near Chef Troy’s house. The problems are:

  1. There’s a $10 cover charge plus food.
  2. You’ll need reservations, and I don’t know if you need to pre-pay
  3. I won’t be able to handle that because I get really ditzy before a performance
  4. Most of the food comes with rice. Hi, JimB!
    And of course, I waited till two days before the show to say anything. ::sigh::

BTW, I just got DSL, (woohoo!) and I’ve been listening to internet radio: NileRadio and some stations via live365. Both songs I’m dancing to I first heard on the internet. [sub]At least I hope so, I have a bad habit of changing my mind at the last minute and scrambling frantically through my cds for new music[/sub]

Well, shuckydarn, Zy. I’d love to come if I could. I will be in Austin at a conference however on Sat. night. I will of course be sending lots of good thoughts and wishes your way, and I’m quite certain you will do awesome.
