Sad to say, I’ll miss rjk’s 11/11/00 Dallas visit; I’d love to put Cheffie’s culinary wizardry to the test and I truly enjoyed meeting rjk in Vegas and would love to commisserate again. But such is not to be. Enjoy yourself in Dallas, pal (;)).
On to the current subject matter. I’ve got a double flyday next week and will be spending the evening of election day (Tuesday, November 7th) in a motel near Love Field. Any of the great Big ‘D’ crew (that I’ve met, and/or board friends not yet met) want to get together for dinner?
It’s probably a school night for all of us, so gettin’ crazy’s not the agenda. But if you would care to muster for dinner, I’m all ears.

Since beatle is staying near Love Field, I figured maybe something east of the tollway. Oak Lawn maybe?
There are a bunch of good places to eat in that area. One place I will be jealous if you go to is Celebration, which is a home-cooking kind of place on Lover’s west of Inwood (an easy trip from Love Field - just go up Mockingbird to Inwood, turn left, go to Lovers, turn left again, it’ll be on your right maybe a half-mile down). One supremely cool thing about Celebration: You can ask for seconds…and it doesn’t have to be the same thing you ordered the first time.
If you turn the other way (right) on Lovers, there’s a mexican place called Casa Rosa in the same shopping center as the Inwood theater (be sure to stop by the Lounge while you’re over there…it’s a bar in the lobby of the theater where I used to work as a bouncer. Ask for Harry or Carlos and tell 'em Troy Smith sent ya.)
