From sachertorte in the spoiled thread, regarding my investigations:
Actually I did. (Well, I didn’t, but you know.) The one night I considered asking about a kill and could have turned up Ed’s information was the night I wound up trying to confirm Mahaloth instead. That also happened to be the night that Ed was killed. Once he turned up as Strongman I reasoned that, regardless what kind of Strongman he was, he’d have been doing the scum kills, hence there was nothing to be learned from asking about those.
Then there was Tom’s claim, and Hal’s, that same day, which left me only one kill unaccounted for (as far as I knew, not realizing that Ed himself was a double attack), which was Omi’s.
Woohoo! Thanks Storyteller for the game and awesome color!
Big sorry to NAF - if I had just send my action for Night 4 (would have been protecting NAF + Drain Bead) you wouldn’t have died.
Big thanks to Guiri/Tom Scud for making this win a breeze! The game was a bit lopsided to town as discussed in the spoiled thread. The way Hal Briston + Tom Scud identified the killers doomed Cookies with Normal’s free form investigation and McGinty and me able to protect her.
So what happened Night 6? Did I guess right or didn’t scum kill at all?
One and Only Wanderers: was that ‘epic read’ comment to Tom Scud on purpose or just coincidence?
Oh, by the way, I lied about what the Dread Curse and Dread Magnetism did; they were both vote-affecting powers and I figured on the off chance you left me alive, I needed a couple suprises for the late game.
For the record, if I had been playing, I would have voted for McGinty and Total Lost next, and it would have taken quite a while to get to Nanook. It would have happened eventually, though. Refresh my memory: What was Nanook’s claim?
Oh, that I don’t know. It’s not in the main spoiler thread and I haven’t read the scum boards yet.
I guessed you must be about out, which is the main reason I didn’t even really consider trying to confirm McGinty – I expected scum to come to the same conclusion last night and take him out, then me next.
Oh, Stanislaus! It was a pleasure being a Mason with you, crossed wires and all. I knew I was in for good times when I saw your name there.
Also, many thanks to Chipacabra for his unwitting sacrifice. (For those who haven’t read the roles, Stanislaus left one line out of his role claim – it said there was one specific player in the game who would believe himself vanilla, but would die in place of Stanislaus or me if we were targeted for night kill.) Chipacabra is why I was SO amused at the outcome of night one. There were other factors, too, but he all but had “lynch-bait” written on his forehead after day one, and he must have been the last person the scum wanted to kill. For him to be the martyr was just amazing.
Man, I can’t believe I lived through that. I’d have hounded my ass like a pit bull with lockjaw. That was scummiest-sounding pro-town role I’ve ever had.
