If it makes you feel better, Normal, I would have killed you on Night 3.
D’awww. I didn’t know that, had only noted Guiri’s choice of OAOW.
Looking at it from my perspective, do you really think finding out the total Scum was better than finding out the total 3rd Party anti-town players?
My theory was that we could use the info. of how many 3rd party anti-towns there are to guess how many scum there are to balance the game.
I should have just used my one-off power the first Day, though.
I just read through the 15 page peanut gallery thread on the spoiled board. Story, despite your thoughts, you did a great job of setting up and modding this game. THANKS!
Hey Hal and USCDiver, what was that Brewha Johnson/Hal Johnson thing all about? I questioned it and then thought it might be some sort of townie handshake so I dropped it.
HAHAHA!! It is a reference to the movie Blazing Saddles. We were just being funny. Did you not know about Blazing Saddles? Your response was genuine frontier gibberish!
Oooh, a Blazing Saddles mafia game would be fun!
I don’t know… after we had 3 Scum killed off in the first four Days, knowing the number of 3rd party players was more useful if you ask me.
The third party count certainly dissuaded me from claiming third party survivor, since I figured no one would believe 2 hostile third parties plus a neutral.
I wonder what would have happened if you called OAOW a liar. They probably would have lynched you anyway, but had you been able to duck the lynch, kill OAOW during the night and expose him as scum you might have gotten away with it.
But then Total Lost would have nailed you as having the book.
I think Guiri should have waited to snatch the book until later in the game.
In theory, if I were able to duck the lynch that day, I would have cast Dread Containment, sending the Book into someone else’s possession, and let Total give me a clean bill of health on book possession. I don’t THINK that the spell would have triggered USCDiver’s ability; if it would have then I was screwed.
But yeah, Guiri really should have waited a day to pull the trigger.
Does anyone have a game prepped for here on the Dope?
thanks for the game story. man i always look forward to yours more than anyone else’s (no offense intended to anyone else) and then just major league blow. ahh well, good job town.
and coca cola be well.
No, my response (“Rbba!”) was genuine frontier gibberish.
Regards,
Oy! Johnson
Well, at least three people in this thread know who Elan is.
OotS Mafia, anyone?
Huh, I guess I’d better see the movie. I am aware of the movie. There’s a black sheriff that says, “scuse me while I whip this out” right?
And, I’m a fan of alot of other Mel Brooks movies. I just never got around to seeing that one. I figured there had to me a reason why everyone wasn’t jumping all over your “secret code”!
Make that four.
Oh yeah.
count me in!
Oh, hell yeah.
I just might have to play that one.
Lots of luck trying to figure out what powers to give the Monster in the Dark, though.
Oh, and I think that in this game, Normal’s power might have been stronger than was intended. Stanislaus would have been basically useless without Normal, but Normal without Stanislaus was still able to ask questions like “Who performed the census?” (or however that one was phrased) to confirm the existence of bizarre actions, and thus indirectly confirm folks.
I want to be Banjulhu.
