Evil TV Show - anyone watching

I am so confused.

So, Kristen benefits from Leland’s Exorcism and her ‘demon friend’ is now attached to him it seems.

The stuff with Cheryl and the blood bath are still very confusing (well, partly anyway - lots of questions for sure) - and I don’t think shape shifter, I think more of a willing participant that has been set ‘free’ - there’s clearly quite a few victims to fill those jars of blood.

I did think the blood bath juxtaposed with the can of root beer was funny. You’re right that the victims looked happy about the drill.

I wonder why Kristen picked that guy to sleep with?

Did anyone notice that at the end Kristen had two pieces of paper to throw into the fire instead of one? It also looked like one of the pieces (not sure if it was hers or her husband’s) went to the side and did not burn. Not sure if that was accidental or if it’s part of the story.

I think they both had multiple pieces, and its really hard to tell with this series what things are intentional (and will come back) and what is just a fluke of the scene (neither wanting to put hands that close to the fire).

So… about Edward and Eddie and Eddie and Eddie and Sheryl - I got nothing. It’s a complete mystery.

Also, Leland as an exorcist. That provides some interesting possibilities.

Kristen seems a lot more fun now. Exorcism was good for her.

One episode left this season. Any thoughts on where this is going?

The boop on the nose would seem to indicate some physical proof on the supernatural side of the ledger.

Season 3 starts on Sunday! I am excited to see where it goes next.

My theory of season finale and Andy plotline.
Andy demon swap is the only way Cheryl gets to stay, “andy” gets a more character arc and Kristen not knowing Cheryl was involved. There is no way they make Kristen learn about her mom this soon because Andy would spill everything the second he could. Plus remember the daughter doesn’t see the demon in the manager so I retrospect that’s why she took the kid to see the manager so if not they could pull the wool over everyone with demon andy and not because Cheryl was testing her to see if the sigil would be passed down to that daughter but to make sure she was foolproof in her planing. Also she might very well be the next in line but can’t see the manager as a demon yet because the sigil hasn’t been passed down. We’re lead to believe Cheryl seeing the demon was because of the juice pumped in her but it might be you can’t see through them until you get your own sigil which Leland gave to Cheryl.

In Season 1, Lexis saw a demon at the door of her house. I’m not sure you need a sigil to see them. The nun sees them.

That was one hell of a season finale - a metric ton of shit just hit the fan.

…Sister Andrea RULES.

Oh yeah. She’s, as my daughter says with great frequency, a girl boss.

Wait, wait, wait, wait.

Leland took Kristen’s egg. That is horrifying.

…that’s the clear implication. But I wouldn’t put it past the show to be deliberately trolling us. The show never goes in the direction I expect. If I think it’s going to zig…it will zag. If I think that the show is setting Sister Andrea up to die, it will instead show her kicking demon butt with a shovel in one of the most hilarious things I’ve seen all year.

and having a casual conversation with Lin about her (Lin) becoming a nun - and Lin isn’t taken aback by the Sister Andrea’s actions…

Please open that door slowly…

…huh. I had this tab open but hadn’t read it. And now I’ve read it, Leland’s a daddy

Link is a spoiler (and confirmation of that final scene) for the last episode of episode 3.

So… Is Andy, Andy?

And what the heck is up with those bottles of gunk where they had Andy tied up?

Mrs. H and I watch it. I’ve only skimmed this thread because we haven’t watched the finale of the most recent season yet, so no spoilers!

I think he has to be. Grace’s drawing of the room in which he was held sent him into a tail spin, and Cheryl felt she needed to erase it. So yeah, it’s Andy.

That said, the incredibly well-managed amnesia seems a bit of a stretch. “I remember being surrounded by white, and then nothing until I landed at JFK.” OK, but what about memories from before the “avalanche,” when you went to Everest with Otter except in reality you never left New York?

That said, this season has been stretching credibility more and more with just about each episode. I’m still loving it, though.

Trying not to read too much of this thread for fear of spoilers, as I’m just starting to watch. Have seen the first two episodes of Season 1 and just starting on #3.

Hmm. I’ve seen it described as “like X-Files, but better and smarter”. Not sure about that. Going in with high expectations, I thought the first two episodes were a bit underwhelming. But it still has my interest, and I admit that sometimes it takes time to really get immersed in a particular concept or genre.

If you want to come back and discuss episodes as you watch them, please do. :smiling_imp:
