The last week’s press j/o session for one.

The fact that I listened to the police scanner where they were already ID’ed about 12 hours ago.

The fact that White Hat is damn dead ringer for Sunil Tripathi (plus some hair, minus some pounds), a person known to have mental problems and whom the FBI just spent 25K searching for since he disappeared last month from Brown University.

The fact that neither one of those people served a day in the military in their life. (Yes, you can tell), which NBC was reporting as fact just 10 hours ago.

The fact that unless they were sponsored by some radical anti-american group they couldn’t have gotten the cash together to make it out of Europe, let alone to the US.

Cheychnan’s may not particularly care for Americans. But they friggin’ hate Russians. Why spend the time and effort on a group you just disdain, when there’s a perfectly hated country occupying your own country right now?

And to reiterate, the mainstream media hasn’t gotten a single thing correct yet in this whole screwed up mess. Why should they start now?

Every source is reporting that they are the marathon bombers. They killed an MIT policeman and hijacked a car. So they sort of flushed themselves out.

EVERYONE is now reporting that they are brothers from Chechnya, so I have to believe that they’re getting the info from authorities who would know.

FOX News is reporting that the two are brothers. And now they are “of Chechzen descent”…

IMHO, it sounds like they panicked after the pictures were released. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were really freaked out by the internet community scouring pictures for their likeness after the FBI gave them a lead.

I was on the police scanner for a big chunk of the night, and while I heard an address, I did not hear a name. Just sayin’.

Yes, but everyone is now reporting it and seems very confident. I was watching CNN overnight and they’ve been very careful to not make any definite statements, but they seem definite about this.

WHDH is now reporting that they’ve been here much longer than a year.

Poor Sunil. That young man (if he is still alive) was so depressed and he just had his name dragged through the mud.

Albeit, I’m prepared to be wrong if either Black Hat Mike and White Hat Sunil pop their heads up in the next few days and says “hey, 'sup”.

And the fact that EVERYONE is reporting the same thing means EVERYONE got their information from the same source whom may want to feed the news media some misinformation for a bit. That’s kind of standard procedure for intelligence operations. Do we have any indication that these Chechnyan’s even exist yet?

Heard that dead suspect was accidentally shot by the other suspect.

Now it’s being reported that the one drove over his brother while escaping. Who knows if it’s true.

I’ve heard contradictory reports that they are Russian or Turkish, as well as the Chechen reports.
