Now that I have that out of my system I am awake and being a heathen today. And on top of that I am going shopping at the Colony to maybe get additional meat cleavers. It would cost me time in Purgatory if I believed in Purgatory.
Showered, dressed, and breakfasting. Breakingfast? Whatever - I’m eating an egg-n-cheese sammich washed down with diet coke - breakfast of champignons!! (I figure **Midget **will appreciate that one!)
Next on the agenda - running the vacuum cleaner. Then I’ll build a meatloaf. Then I’ll assume the slug mode.
Looks like it’s going to rain. A high of 61 is predicted for the day.
I woke at 5 this morning, but was able to get back to sleep and sleep until after 8.
Ripple loves to go in the truck. As soon as he hears the keys jingle he is running for the door. Fortunately, he is not crazy hyper and will stand still to get his harness and leash on.
If Adam is outside he will follow me to the truck. I think he would like to go too, but he gets diarrhea when he rides in the truck so he is not allowed. He’s due for his annual checkup and I am dreading it.
Lots to do today, but nothing special to do.
What gets done gets done and what doesn’t can wait.
Up, caffeinating, breakfasted and have the mojo poke in the crock. Other than the usual Sunday chores and picking up a prescription, there’s nothing on the agenda today.
It looks like the rain has stopped (for now) and it’s cooled down a lot in comparison to last week.
Finally got my new blinds up in the living room. They look a whole lot better than the temporary blinds, and will be easier to use.
No more clips.
The curtains are in the washer, just a quick wash to get out the dust and Ripple drool.
We still have to put them up in my bedroom but that can wait until another day.
I hard boiled some eggs to make deviled eggs later today.
My sister has come and gone - mostly because Roxy slept most of her visit. She woke up long enough to be held and fed and whine a bit before going back down to sleep. Daughter thinks she’s having a growth spurt. But that kid is packing in the food - she had squash and cereal for lunch and scarfed down close to half a cup!
**FCD **and I are going out for supper in a bit. He’s frustrated with the machining he’s doing - it’s taking lots longer than he’d anticipated. But he needs a break, so we’ll go find something food-like away from the house.
And the rain seems to have mostly stopped, for now.
Worse than that --------- I keep most of them in a cedar chest.
Next to our bed.
Kind of like the cannon in the basement and the tombstone in the yard, our survivors have lots of reasons to go  but they already know us all too well and basically know the crap they can expect.
I actually got three but two are marking varieties of ones I already had. So in the greater scheme of things I say one. And the eBay one arrived today but again a variety so ------ one. That doesn’t sound nearly as bad as “4 this week alone”.
It has been raining for two days and apparently it will continue for three more.
I saw ducks from the lake playing in the street, and a crane of some sort walking down the sidewalk.
Another weekend of adulting, and missing all the area fun. I need to win big in the lottery, so I can [del]lead a life of charity[/del]lead a life of debauchery and sloth and annoying Flytrap.
You work at Da Jungle, that counts as your Purgatory and then some.
But if you eat too many champignons, you won’t have shroom for dessert.
I picked up not-too-terrible Chinese for supper. **FCD **is having a bad day - he thinks his mill doesn’t have the horsepower it needs to do the job - he’s already crashed 2 pieces and broke one cutter. But he’s still down there.
All that’s left for me to do today is load the dishwasher, I guess. It’s been a lazy, non-productive day.
sari, the dog drool on teh curtains makes me glad that Nelson isn’t tall enough to reach.
Another rainy day in middle Tennessee. It looks like the beginning of a pond in the side yard now.
Supper was yum! I fixed mojo pork, Cuban black beans, rice and cilantro lime slaw. Sis called during the meal and said that BIL’s irk trip to PA has been extended for two more weeks (he’s already been there for six weeks) so they won’t be up in a couple of weeks. They are going to Dad’s for Thanksgiving though, so I’ll see them then.
Evening all. Spent most of the day watching football (both types), napping, and eating. Dinner was at Golden Corral, Pot Roast with noodles and gravy, which used to be my favorite as a kid (my mom would make at time homemade noodles for it, and they were soooooo good…
Some rain in the area, but not too heavy, so we’ll see what tomorrow brings–hopefully the tilers to finish their work and a couple of other jobs getting done. Goal is to have my whole house back in my hands by Wednesday, so the new bedroom carpet can go in on Thorsday and my furniture back from storage on Firday. We’ll see.
