I might give Dexter another chance. I was unhappy with the season before last and didn’t watch this last season at all. From reading the threads here, it appears many fans didn’t like it.

Definitely up for Justified and Homeland, and The Walking Dead, which has to be better than last season.

I’ll probably check out Nashville just to see if I recognize anything, but likely will stick mostly to the nerd channels (History, Discovery, NatGeo, Food Network and AP) for the usual background TV.

Aw, man, you jinxed it! Yeah, I’ll be watching it, too, along with:

  • The Mentalist
  • Misfits
  • New Girl
  • Happy Endings
  • How I Met Your Mother (we have to meet the mother this year, right?)
  • Person of Interest
  • 666 Park Avenue
  • Go On (with Matthew Perry)

I’ll try Fringe again - I couldn’t follow what the hell was going on last season.

For me, the lack of believability of the Hanks character as well as the oddity of the Olmos character took me out of the plot too often. It’s feast or famine for Dexter, it seems to me, and last year was famine. But I keep going back because of my admiration for MC Hall.

I just can’t get into the zombies and vampires that seem to be everywhere these days. I had my fill of all that back in the 50’s!

That’s my take on Nashville, too. I’m all prepared for it to be a glorified Hee Haw and little bearing on reality. But it’s a good time slot to test out something new. I like your other choices, too. WNPT keeps putting on good shows.

I’m right there with you. But it’s like watching a car wreck: hard to look away!

Based on your mention of it, I may give 666 Park Avenue a try. Thanks.

The Walking Dead! Can’t wait! (it’s not ALL zombies all the time. I love post-apocalyptic stories and I’m glad they finally left that farm.)

American Horror Story! Can’t wait! (Last year was so creepy it was almost over the top, if they had ramped it up even a hair, I don’t think I could have continued watching.)

Once Upon A Time! (I have a ridiculous crush on Rumplestiltskin, who curiously just showed up on Facebook after silence all summer, lol.)

I may take a look at Go On and 666 Park Avenue.

True Blood and Mad Men aren’t coming back until next summer, so they don’t really count as fall TV.

Dirty Jobs - well, it’s on now. I wonder if Mythbusters is coming back?

(I’ll be missing House - very badly - and Desperate Housewives, too. If they put on that show about Hispanic maids, which sounds similar in tone - a comic drama - will definitely check that out.)

Otherwise, my default channel is TCM, I’m forever a fan of old, old movies.

Same here. The “RetroPlex” channel in this market has similar fare.

As for the “fall” aspect of those shows below the ====== line, I just wanted a reminder to keep a watch out for when they will be back.

I am Carnivorousplant, and I approve this message.

Warehouse 13.

Warehouse 13 has been FUN so far this season!! Looking forward to the wrap-up season of Fringe, and…this is Bones’ 8TH SEASON?? Wow. I’ve enjoyed the show, but it’s getting a wee bit long in the tooth. Grimm is also being thoroughly enjoyed early on in its second season, and any word on premiere date for Once Upon a Time?

I plan to give NBC’s Revolution a try, at least the first couple of episodes.

That’s the one that I was coming back to mention - I hadn’t heard anything about it, but my husband mentioned it to me since he knows I love all things post-apocalyptic. I’m really hoping this show addresses those issues and isn’t just DRAMA! set in a world without electricity. As I also said to my husband, I hope it isn’t like “Terra Nova,” where I had high hopes that were completely unrealized.

Pretty heavy TV load you all got there.

I just watched Revolution on the On Demand channel. I liked the first 15 minutes, both the “before” and “after” neighborhoods, but then it kind of devolved into Hunger Games meets Lost. I’ll give it a few more tries, but with J J Abrams as executive producer, I’m afraid that it won’t have a cohesive story line.

I’m not sure if allowing On-Demand or Web channels early access to shows is a great idea, especially if the show’s likely to get negative reviews that could go viral.

Definitely
Amazing Race
Once Upon a Time
Dancing With the Stars
Raising Hope
Top Chef (whatever incarnation is on)
Bones, although I’m losing my interest in that

**Maybe **
Revolution
Copper (I’ve recorded the first few eps - I’m waiting to see if it’s long-term good)
Nashville (Local setting)

StG

Isn’t it a bit of a stretch to include these in a list of “Fall 2012 TV Shows”?

Yes. I just made a list of shows I wanted to keep track of for when they will start back up (or premiere for the first time). I picked a thread title without trying to be as precise as my list was. If this causes any grief, I apologize. You’re not the first to observe the discrepancy. salinqmind made a similar point.

Well, I don’t drink at all, so I can be all smug over other people about that.

Christ.:smack:

Let me guess the only thing you know about the show is that it’s called Nashville and is set in well, Nashville and has something to do with country music and that’s all you dare to know because you’re a big baby about O NOES!!! SPOILERS!!!:dubious::smack:

It is NOT ‘a glorified Hee Haw’.

How dare you defile Mrs. Coach that way.

And if you have to ask who Mrs. Coach refers to, do everyone a favor and just don’t bother watching the show.

‘…glorified Hee Haw.’

Christ.

Shakes head

Watched the preview of Revolution. Billy Burke…nice , rest of the story…dont know.

My returning favorites are: *The Good Wife, L&O:SVU, Hawaii 5-0, Dexter, Homeland ,Criminal Minds, American Horror Story, CSI. *
New shows I want to check out:

666 Park Ave. - It looks spooky, and I’ll watch Terry O’Quinn in anything.

Elementary - Promising, the reviews have been good and I adore Lucy Liu.

Nashville: Hokey, to be sure, but the draw for me is Panettiere and Britton. Both good actresses and I like them a lot.

Revolution: Yeah, I got burned by Lost and The Event but hey, third time’s a charm, right?

N.B.I have never watched an episode of survivor in my life, but I may have to this season for Miss Blair Warner. I only wish Jo could be there too.
