Familiar with local politics in Trenton NJ? Please comment on this story

This seems trite enough, a holder of a local office emails nude photos of himself to a woman, the photos end up online, he resigns.

But -

*The photos were made available online by a political enemy
*The politician is not married (already divorced for two years)
*The woman, with whom he has corresponded online for several years, asked for the photos
*Now that the officeholder has resigned, the political enemy says he might take down the photos
*The officeholder is considering legal action against the political enemy.

So the political enemy has various bad things to say about the officeholder, including that in their various disputes the officeholder brought up personal stuff about the other guy first.

I’m interested in what anyone familiar with these characters might have to say about them and about these events. I’m tending to be slightly sympathetic to the officeholder, but if he was the Aaron Peskin* of Trenton NJ, maybe not so much.

*a local Democratic Party power broker who has his hand in everything in SF; he and his wife have enormous power in their North Beach neighborhood over zoning etc.
Roddy

Ha! Born and raised in Trenton, but left when I was 26, a long time ago. Just think this is funny…

Not sure what this has to do with Trenton. It’s in the middle of New Jersey, and Cumberland County is at the southern edge of the state, fronting Delaware Bay.

It’s one of New Jersey’s smaller (in population) counties, and a seat on the county board, which this guy had, is not exactly a political powerhouse position. :stuck_out_tongue:

So we’ve got a self-important person in a sparsely-populated area making a fool of himself on the 'net in the hope of a hook-up.

Seems pretty tame for NJ politics to me. No graft or corruption?

Now if it were nude photos of that moron Christie, then you’d be talking - but the web might melt down out of disgust.
