Family Guy 11/27

Oh, and Lois…

“Maybe Dateline will do a story on us, huh? I’ll get to meet that pompous ass Stone Phillips. He’s the kind of guy you hate 'til he’s inside ya.”

Yep – except it was Cybill Shepherd.

I fat guys in the meeting bit had me cracking up. Reminded me of the vomitting bit they did, every now and then Family Guy nails something childish and has me rolling on the floor.

The pickle bit was good, too.

Brian: A pickle? Really? Hey Stewie!

Stewie: I heard!

For some reason I like it better when Stewie and Brian are friendly towards one another, they play off each other so well.

“Hi, sweetheart! Did I miss your piano recital?”
“No, Daddy, I’m in my 40s now.”

Really good episode. The slaying of Cybil Shepard was great, and the rest of the cutaways were all really good.

“What’s it like up there on your pedestal?” (paraphrased)

BEST LINE OF THE NIGHT!

“Homina, homina, homina, homina, right in the kisser.”

It’s a good thing this show isn’t on HBO or Showtime.

What was Stewie’s sexual reference about Lois’s parents? Something about a funnel?

Didn’t Chris say something else funny when they got to the Asylum? I’ve been trying to remember.

No kidding. That line had me in shock. I had to rewind twice to make sure I heard it right. Totally funny though.

I agree about Stewie and Brian being more fun when they get along. They are both like the outsiders of the family, so it makes sense that they’d get along.

I kind of like that they are inconsistent with it. That allows for the best of both worlds.

I forgot. I love the Slingblade joke stewie did.

And I think MacFarlane really likes pushing people down the stairs. Last week had lois going down the stairs and then twice(the black guy and Lois’s parents) in this episode.

Maybe not then, but he had a great line at the end.

Meg: “I miss Uncle Patrick.”
Lois: “Don’t worry kids. I promise we can visit him once a month.”
Chris: “We’ll be his period.”

This was my favorite part:

Peter: Okay everyone I’ve got some news… I am fat…okay, just going to let that seep in for a minute…Now, don’t worry, its nobody’s fault…Meg…but I’m going to do something about it.

It was great that he blamed her for absolutely no reason. Then she says, “Oh, you going to lose some weight, fatass?”

The tension between Meg and the family is really just getting worse. They are being brutal to her now.

Good.

Lois & Peter are known to be into “tough love”.

They’re just showing her affection.

For some reason, I don’t mind. But then again, I’ve never liked Meg. If she was less of a Whiney teen, maybe I’d think differently.

After someone commented on how soundly the Pewterschmidts sleep, Stewie said something like, “How she can sleep knowing she has to funnel his hog, I’ll never know,” or something close to that. The phrase was “funnel his hog,” that much I remember.
