Ah that was great. I was dying at the Osama opening.
The Bush “joke” was pretty useless and the ending was a little bit of a let-down… but only because the rest of that episode was amazing, maybe even one of the very best. Thank you, tinkle fairy!
That was magnificent. I didn’t know where the Osama thing was going, but as soon as I recognized the Naked Gun underscoring from the fight sequence…
“Oh, hey, Stewie. Who the hell is that guy?”
“It’s the **** Van **** Show, starring **** Van ****.”
“Good night, John Boy. John Boy?”
“Can’t a guy masturbate in peace?”
“Lois, I love it when you ***** my *****. You know, when you **** my **** ********** lube ****** toothbrush ********** Episcoplian ************** with a parking ticket.”
That line was worth every minute I have ever spent watching television.
And some the gags come from experience. I read an interview with Seth McFarlane where he commented he thought it was strange that the Fox censors wouldn’t allow poop jokes, but were okay with a scene in one episode involving ceiling fan placed near Quagmire’s crotch in an attempt to get him off of women. (That phrasing doesn’t sound right, but then again, it sounds like Quagmire- he’s always getting off around women, anyway. Giggity, giggity.) It just goes to show you, Cindy- big things come in small packages!
Ditto on the opening credits - felt good to laugh out loud after the lousy day I had (nothing horrible - just lousy)
and yes - the congressman’s voice did drop out iin the middle of his speech - i just figured it was another FCC censorship joke. - …
…or maybe the real FCC stepped in and did that…

I’m glad I have a DVR. I was laughing so hard at that joke, I had to go back to watch the rest of the scene.
I found myself laughing moronically at the rocket-pack joke. In comedy, you just can’t bang someone’s head into the wall too many times.
The FCC song was inspired.
Easily one of the three or four funniest episodes they’ve ever done. The opening alone was fucking genius.

Best episode of the new season, far and away, and very likely one of the best ones they’ve done to date. If Family Guy can do occasional social commentary the way South Park does so well (and the Simpsons wishes it could do), it’ll be even better.
It was brilliant.
The Reeses candy was a great spoof on the old commercials. I like the comment about Peter’s chin a lot. I noticed the son on American Dad has the same balls for a chin going on.
