Family Guy Returns Summer 2005!

[quote]
[After a popular DVD release and a successful late night run on Cartoon Network’s “Adult Swim” block, FOX thinks “Family Guy” is ready for primetime again. Seth MacFarlane’s dysfunctional animated family will return to FOX’s schedules in the summer of 2005 with all new episodes.

“When I first joined the network my first order of business was ordering more episodes of ‘Family Guy,’” says FOX Entertainment President Gail Berman. “I believe this show was way ahead of its time. It’s now a huge DVD hit and we believe that ‘Family Guy’ has a ready-made fan base eager for its return.”

“Family Guy” will return next summer with all of its vocal talent intact. MacFarlane will return as the voices of lumpy everyman Peter Griffin, homicidal baby Stewie and family dog Brian. Alex Bornstein returns as long-suffering wife Lois Griffin and Mila Kunis and Seth Green will be back as children Meg and Chris Griffin.](http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271|88317|1|,00.html)

I’ve known about it for over a month, and i’m still excited as ever!

Yesssssss.

I thought of this scene out of the blue the other day and laughed out loud like a crazy person.

Doctor: Mr. Griffin I’m saying you’re fine.
Peter: Now what? Are you coming on to me?
Lois: Peter, he’s not coming on to you. He’s trying to tell you you’re healthy.
Doctor: …can’t it be both?

Yeah, I was listening to Love Line the other night on the radio, and Adam Corrolla mentioned that he had to go in to the studio the next day to record audio tracks for the Family Guy. So, I guess the Grim Reaper will be back.

I’m not suprised at all. The show ran a pattern of coming on, running about twelve episodes, then “Getting cancelled,” only to repeat it again the next day. Admitadely, it’s been a couple years since the last season, but it seemed to be rather seasonal, so it’s really no suprise. Plus, it’s been getting played on Cartoon Network, so people know it’s still popular.

I love this show almost more than the Simpsons…can not wait til it’s back.

Well, in the immortal words of Dr. Clayton Forrestor, “Every party needs a pooper!”

Family Guy. Bleeech!

My poor, poor, Futurama… :frowning:

Not again…

As much as I’d love for Futurama to come back, I’m still very happy for Family Guy’s return.

Obligatory Futurama sucked and deserves to burn in TV Hell for the crime of sucking.

I’m REAL glad about FG coming back. I hadn’t watched it in a while (having run the DVD sets into the ground and even before that, we had all the episodes stored on a buddy’s computer) and popped in the episode where Lois takes TaiJitSu or whatever a few days ago. My god, I laughed my ass off. It was like watching it for the first time.

“Last night…Lois…was…the man!”

Giggidy giggidy giggidy*!!!

*OT, but has anyone ever tried to say without flubbing it? It’s quite a challenge. After a solid 24 hours of practicing, I’m half good now.

Flander: I’m good at the giggity-giggity-giggity, but I’m better at the “Aw-right!”

I already own all the released episodes of Family Guy on DVD, and I’m up to Season 3 of Futurama. Let a thousand flowers bloom, you ninny hammers.

[Cleveland voice]I’ve managed to pull off the “Giggitys”, but going for the “Goo” always throws off my concentration. Loretta doesn’t like white catchphrases in our household[/Cv]

I’m afraid to hope for too much. FG was already heading downhill in the “last” season, as far as I’m concerned. Sometimes a show is so great that it has nowhere to go but downhill – case in point, the new episodes of “Harvey Birdman, Attorney.” What a letdown.

I just hope they restore the original theme song. “Laugh and Cry” my eye!

Peter: How did you know I died?
Death: It was faxed to me by your H.M.O.
Peter: Jeez, I know my doctor was hitting on me, but do you have to call him names?
