There is a dvd screener of the first episode floating around (did I mention my email is public?) These are not too uncommon. I remember it happened with the first 4 episoes of The Sopranos’ last season and The Shield episodes 401/402 more recently.
As to how it compares to previous episodes, it’s average but not in a bad way. I have yet to dislike a single episode of family guy afterall.
The introduction to the episode is interesting (very mild spoiler ahead) They refer to the show’s cancellation.
I’m surprised more people haven’t watched it. I assumed it’d spread like wildfire. Well, this thread can always be revived in a week or so when the episode officially airs.
“Effin’ cry” is back. I was a bit surprised by that.
I liked it. I got some good laughs out of this episode. I remember again why I love this show so much. It’s hard to get a good laugh out of the repeats when you’ve pretty much memorized them all.
I just watched it again and I can’t make out what the guy covered in slime says at the very end of the show. Right before he says : “I used to be a lawyer. Good to be back America”
Meg: So you actually put coke in that kid’s locker?
Brian: Yup.
Meg: Wow. Where’d you get it?
Brian: Oh, I’ve got a guy.
Dirty Man in Underpants: Don’t let it get the best of you! I used to be a lawyer! See you next week. Good to be back, America!
“It” must refer to cocaine. Or at least that’s how I heard it.[/spoiler]
Reference to earlier episodes - the guy is the Greased-Up Deaf Guy who’s at Peter’s annual company picnic, and Brian was addicted to coke for two episodes.
I just saw this, thanks to the same method all "mwerican Who fans must watch Doctor Who, and I loved it. However, the very first scene with all the canceled shows listed?
Kaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhn!
I mean really, shows take money to make, and the list of recently canceled shows is just staggering.
as soon as I heard and knowing is half the battle I knew that things were finally going to be back to normal, and my fears of the show not living up to its previous potential was just silliness on my part.
