I wouldn’t waste my time watching the trial coverage. I prefer my news to be more newsworthy. Go back and read the last paragraph of my OP, the one you conveniently failed to quote.
I didn’t say “powerful.” I said rich. But show me the foundation that MJ is being targeted for being white. Show me the foundation that any wealthy black Americans are being targeted or have been targeted for persecution by law enforcement or any other arm of the government.
I only heard them on the radio, but their voices didn’t sound particularly old.
What’s the term I’ve heard black people use about certain people of their race that try to gain the acceptance of white people, sometimes by adopting their culture, like Simpson? Oh yeah, “Uncle Tom”. That’s what I was thinking of when I wrote what I did, which possibly came out wrong.

I agree. This whole thread seems like a vehicle for that stupid title. A couple of black people said something that’s being said by people of all ages/races/colors/creeds, etc. and should’ve been expected by anyone who has been alive for more than 10 years, and we’re supposed join in the fuss and forget the stupid-ass title of this thread?
Otto, you have always impressed me as being a smart, kind, and clear thinking person, so when I saw your thread title, I was both surprised and disappointed. Please ask the mods to let you change it.

You caught me. I really wasn’t speaking from a familiarity of the general tenor of Otto’s posts, but was giving him the benefit of the doubt. In which case, I guess I should’ve stuck to ‘thread title bad’. I speak honestly when I say thank you for a posting lesson learned.
I dunno. I think he might be emotionally and mentally stunted enough that he might not actually be molesting children. Maybe he really is a 10 year or at heart (or at brain), and likes having sleepovers with other children. He’s crazy enough it might just be true.
