Fantasy Football opinion

I got offered this trade.

Me giving up
Curtis Martin
Ricky Williams
Jeremy Shockey
Plexico Burress

Me getting
Faulk

This is a 3 RB league and I also have Corey Dillon, Alstot and Duce Staley.

Starting Martin, Williams and Dillon is very good. Would starting Faulk, Dillon and Alstot really be that much better. WRs and TEs are more valuable in this league than in most. You start 5 WRs and 2 TEs. I voted against that. I got Booker, Boston, Thrash, and Troy Brown as my other starters right now. The guy would probably let me swap Dillon for Martin in the trade. Any suggestions.

I would do it. It would give you a great running back trio and depth at WR/TE. It also makes you far less susceptible to injury problems.

Blackeye he was the one giving the back up for Faulk.

No, I would not do it.
Faulk is an amazing player who shoudl put up points.

Martin came in second in rushing yards last year, the cast of players around him are finally happy with the system this year. (no more whining Vinny) Santana Moss is coming back and looking amazing, Cole stepped up last year and will continue to.
All that means Martin is gonna do just as well if not better than last year.
Ricky Williams might have a bit of trouble running since Searcy and the O-line are having problems… (searcy out for the year)
But, he is in Norv Turners O-system where 10 out of 12 years the average rushing is 1200 yards. Plus Miami has a damn find defence to help keep miami from playing to far behind.
Shockley is of course a rookie, and rookie pass catchers tend to do so-so their first year. He may well be an exception, he has looked very very good in the preseason. He is not Gonzo the FF super TE. Not yet anyway.
Burgess, He is an up and coming WR. He started to live up to his high draft pick last year, I think he will continue to get better this year.
I would take Dillon, Williams and Martin at RB
over Faulk, Dillon and Alstott.
I am not impressed with Alstott plus Pitman when healthy will be able to do a whole lot more than Dunn did. Meaning less touches for Alstott.
I would not trade away Martin and WIlliams for Faulk, much less with the additional players.

I have Faulk in a few leagues, if someone were to offer me that many quality players I would jump on it and laugh all the way to the playoffs.

my Humble opinion Do not do it… or I willbe forced to say I told you so.

oops

Another “no”. Make mine a “hell no” if you like.

IMO (Martin, Williams and Dillon ) is just slightly < (Faulk, Dillon and Alstot).

Burress is the second best WR you have right now, and giving up a top 15 receiver is not worth the small gain you get at RB.

This does not even touch on the potential Shockey will have for big numbers when Collins O-line leaves him continually looking for a safety outlet.
