He only has to work hard for eight more games, and his final contract is on the line. He’ll put the effort in.
Pick one (no PPR): Donald Brown against Cincy, Cadillac Williams against Carolina, banged-up Percy Harvin against Chicago.
Pick one more: Joel Dreessen against Jax, Jordan Shipley at Indy, Anthony Armstrong against Philly.
Right now I have Armstrong and Brown active.
I think this is how I’d play it too. Although you never know with Cadillac. You might be sorry he’s riding the bench.
Harvin, Dreessen.
Brandon Pettigrew vs. Mercedes Lewis. Thoughts?
I love Lewis - he’s practically carried my HHM and Dynasty teams this season.
This isn’t strictly related to this week, but…
Steve Smith (NYG) was a torn pec and is out for at least 2wks. Should I dump him for the rest of the season and pick up Donald Driver on waivers? Or wait out the injury? My other WR are Pierre Garcon, Deion Branch, and Steve Smith (Car), with Vernon Davis for the flex spot.
I would drop the other Steve Smith. He’s not producing even when healthy, and Claussen isn’t going to turn things around this season.
I had Aaron Rodgers in 3 leagues and this is his bye week. But I’m managing along nicely with Garrard, Orton, and probably Vick in his replacement. I’m a little concerned about Orton getting yanked so Tebow can play since Denver is up 2000 to nothing.
That’s a better idea. NYG Smith has been decent, if not spectacular. On review, though, Driver is still injured and will probably miss a couple more weeks. Mike Thomas (JAX) is on waiver, as is Robert Meachem (NO). Either of those seems better. I’d lean towards Thomas, though, since he’s WR1 and I like how Jacksonville has been playing lately. Thoughts on that?
Thomas is the Jags’ #2, not #1. Sims-Walker is the #1. I’d definitely pick up Thomas over Meachem, though.
I need Vernon Davis and Jamaal Charles to score less than 1.7 points (combined) to win in HHM this week- but if I had hung onto Thomas (who I drafted) I’d be up big.
Also, saying “WR1” in fantasy terms means a top-tier fantasy WR, a guy who’d be your primary starter, not the primary receiver on a team, which would typically be referred to as “#1 WR”
My bad, I misread the depth chart.
Who says he’s not an elite guy?
Its my first season in fantasy. I’m still struggling to keep all my terms like PPR and flex straight.
So, needed 36 out of Vick to win this week.
Got that in one quarter+one play. Not bad for a waiver wire pickup.
I guess I’m going to be playing matchups between Vick and Rodgers.
In a non-SDMB PPR league, I was losing 103-85, with me having Vick to play and my opponent no Monday night players. This is why I traded for Vick. Makes my lousy fantasy weekend a lot better with a win in this league.
