I’ve been streaming defenses in one league and I’m in a bind this week. I’ve currently got the Colts starting but I’m not a fan of the matchup and nothing on the waiver wire jumps out at me.
If you had to start a crappy defense, who would it be?

Cards.
That’s who I’m going with, anyway. The Browns are tempting too.
Who the hell is available?
I like Houston, Atlanta and Buffalo.
Well I didn’t want to list them all since they’re universally mediocre but here they are:
Atlanta
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Dallas
Denver
Detroit
Houston
Indianapolis
Kansas City
Miami
New York Jets
Oakland
St. Louis
Seattle
Washington
It’s a 10-team league…too many teams are holding on to 2 defenses.
I has a conundrum.
My backs are Clinton Portis, Michael Turner, Willie McGahee and Steve Slaton. I need to start two.
I’m pretty much dead set on starting Turner and benching Slaton this week - their matchups (@ Oakland, @ Minnesota) are just too good and bad to ignore. I can’t decide on the other starter, though. Portis has been a beast but is banged up and plays Pittsburgh; McGahee is banged up but gets Cleveland.
Right now, I’m leaning toward Portis, just because his worst game so far was 86 yards and no scores against the Giants… and that was in Week 1. Still, having seen what the Steelers did to Brandon Jacobs last week, and keeping in mind that Cleveland has given up 140 yards per game and 8 touchdowns, McGahee does look mighty tempting.
I’m not sure it will matter all that much because I have Kurt Warner going against the Rams, and he’s a virtual lock for 300 yards and 3 TDs, barring injury.
Did I mention I’m 8-0 and have scored the most points in 5 of 8 weeks?
