Rejoice! Ring the bells! Farscape has been officialy renewed for a forth and fifth season, making it the longest running original Sci-fi series.
There will also be a movie in the middle of the fifth season, probably for television(since its audience isn’t large enough for a theatrical release).
Being renewed for two more seasons at the same time will help the show quite a bit, since they know they will be around long enough to develop the story more(as if the epic isn’t huge enough yet).
Mwa! Maa! Kisses to you! Thank you for this glorious news, Mahaloth! I am still kind of out of the loop with Farscape news (devoting my time to watching the first season M-Th, and then trying to grasp the plot intracacies of the third season on Fridays). I didn’t even know that there was some doubt that it wouldn’t be renewed!
(Mahaloth: BTW - On the first season, I just saw the ep. where Talyn is born, and on third season, I’m where Chricton is “twinned”. Much excitment. You are right - the plot is getting more and more interesting in season one!)
If you want, take a look at my plot summary of the show over in this thread. It helps newcomers understand how the show is broken up. You might want to only read up until season 2, then wait a bit to read the rest.
I posted several times in this thread, just search until you read the post called “A Guide”.
Sssooo, what about Scorpius? Can he be sustained over two more seasons, or will he be retired for a cycle or two? He’s too good a villain to be wasted.
Plenty of time for Aeryn to have her daughter, too.
IMHO, considering how much better it is than any SF show, it ought to stay alive for a few seasons after that.
[aside] But we know that Aeryn can’t join John on Earth…John’s a Southern boy, and works in S. Florida & N. Australia. The climate there is too hot for Sebacians. Also, she’d never learn the language. Translator microbes would make it impossible.[/aside]
Thanks Mahaloth. I know about this thread! I started it, after all!
I read your fine “A Guide”, and was commenting on how I am enjoying the story arcs. Tonight’s episode was just great. Man. I can hardly wait for tomorrow!
