Tragic of course. Apparently they had argued about custody prior to the incident. Ironically, the father has proven now that he wouldn’t have been fit to parent in any way. I’m hoping that by landing in jail he won’t have the chance to make use of his reproductive ability until after his fertility is gone. (or preferably, never)
Um…what? Guys can father children their entire adult lives, even in their 90s.
Yeah, but women can’t. No woman who is fertile is going to “do it” with a old man. He should have said “…until his opportunities to reproduce are gone.”

Or Tony Randall, whose 27 year old wife had their first child when he was 77 and their second child when she was 28 and he was 78.
Or Charlie Chaplin, who fathered eight children with Oona O’Neil; the last when he was 73 and she was 37.
Saul Bellow’s fourth child, with his fifth wife Janice Freedman, was born when Saul was 84. She was 40.
Plenty of men become infertile with age though. Or they can’t get it up.

Babies, all of them. Doctor Iglesias Puga had his third son at 89; the posthumous fourth child involved fertility treatments but son number three didn’t.
I would just like to add that I myself hope to be impregnating hot 20 year olds when I’m 78 ::sigh::

But seriously, the senior citizens who impregnate young women are typically wealthy (fame helps too). What 25 year old woman is going to want to have sex with a penniless 70 year old who has spend the better part of his life in prison for murdering his infant and baby-mamma?

I’ve always heard that murder is the #1 cause of death of pregnant women. I don’t imagine it changes a whole lot immediately post-partum.
Well, that’s probably partly because pregnant women are likely to be young and healthy and not prone to dying from other reasons.
Bit odd how they can reveal the name of the victim, the uncle who owns the house, and a couple of neighbors who showed up to help, but not the name of the guy driving the truck.
