Our local grocery store only sells raspberry chocolate chips at Christmas time, so I stock up. I use them to make fudge, using the recipe on the back of the Kraft marshmallow creme jar. Using them to make cookies is also very good. And brownies.
For storebought cookies, I adore Sam’s Choice Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Butter cookies. They are wonderful and at least $1.00 cheaper than the national brands. You can find them in Walmart or Sam’s Clubs.
But it’s hard to beat home made chocolate chip cookies made with Nestle’s Semi-Sweet Chips. YUM!!
Gotta go to the pantry now and dig up the cookies I bought the other day!!
g/f makes granola cookies with raisins, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Hot out of the oven, they’re to die for! I also like them with currants instead of raisins, and/or chopped, dried cranberries.
Can’t think of a storebought variety that appeals much.
Those Rabbit Punch/caffeine cookies sound delightful! Gonna have to give them a try. Thanks.
Keebler (I think) Soft Batch Cookies.
They used to come in several flavors but now I only see them in chocolate chip flavor. Pop them in the microwave for 20 seconds and welcome to heaven. 'Cept they have like, 80 calories per cookie and I can eat 10 -15 at sitting easy. So I dont eat them much anymore.

However, if you don’t want to bake them, the best store-bought chocolate chip cookes are Freihofer’s. I pity those who don’t have access to them. How good are they? Heat them in an oven and you’d swear they were home made.
I was thinking about commercial cookies only, and then when I saw hillbilly queen’s Nutter Butters I was blind to the universe. But of course if homemade cookies are taken into account, store-bought isn’t even in the running. I make a soft ginger cookie that my great-aunt Alma used to make that just melts in my mouth and transports me to a better world. Also, a persimmon cookie with dates, nuts and candied, dried fruit that receives high acclaim.
hillbilly queen, you are an angel doll-face to offer to send cookies. Now that I know they still are being manufactured, I think I can get my local Albertson’s or Ralph’s to order some in, but thank you so much for your gracious offer!
White Chocolate Macadamia cookies.
A family friend has this recipie for chocolate chip cookies that are both crispy and chewy at the same time. You first bite into the cookie it is crispy, but as soon as it gets wet, it starts to get really chewy in your mouth, much like a wafer crisp, is wonderfull.
Mint chocolate cookies and shortbread cookies. I will also kill for mint jelly thimble cookies.
