Favorite drinks? (alcoholic)

I also remember drinking a bottle of Mickey’s Beer way back. I can’t find a website for it, can anyone help? I want to know if it’s still being made etc… Thanks in advance

Tequila Sunrise

Rockett Fuel

Sexy Blue Eyed Boy

Single-malt scotch, neat

Bourbon, neat. I am currently sipping a bit of Weller 12 year old.

Guinness, almost any red wine (for cheap, sweet wine, I used to adore Baby Duck - I can’t find it here in the US at all), pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, grasshoppers. Oh, and Fireball whiskey. Hummina hummina. Fy-yi-ya!

Back around the holidays a friend shared his recipie for a homemade Baily’s and it is GREAT! We keep one made up in the fridge at most times and have either a little on the rocks or mixed in with a coffee or even some milk.
Good stuff!

Beer–microbrew porter, stout or red

Irish coffee, and the next time a bartender tries to grab a bottle of that slimy Bailey’s crapola when I order one I will break heads! Bushmill’s, asshole!

Margaritas–regular on the rocks or strawberry slushy style with superfine sugar around the rim.

Coconut rum & pineapple juice–just like a Penis Colonic but less gooey and sticky…

When I’m feeling ambitious and have a bunch of friends over in winter, it’s a gallon or so of apple juice simmered hot, then mix in a bottle of cinnamon schnapps and a bottle of Barenjager–with or without a dollop of whipped cream.

Proper draft cider in Imperial pint glasses, whooeey!

You can’t leave us like that! JEEEEZ! Spill the beans!

As you wish:

2 egg yolks

1 pint heavy cream (could use half and half if you’re a candy ass)

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. instant coffee dissolved in 1 Tbs. water

2 Tbs. chocolate syrup

6 - 8 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey (6 makes it smooth, 8 kicks you in the ass - your choice) or Bushmills

Makes just over 1 liter.

Pour into bottles and refrigerate.

Shake before serving.

I’ve been drinking my homemade wine (from a kit, no nose to speak of but the taste is okay) but all this talk about favourites cause me to put a martini glass in the freezer. My favourite drinks:
The lightly bruised, shaken, damp gin martini. If I was looking for proof that a god existed, this might just be it.
Red Aussie wine, Cabs from the Hanwood estates, or the Lindeman ranch just do it for me.
The locally grown Fort Garry Ales, both the Pale and the Dark are tasty treats when I am in a beer mood.
The ever so fun Gin and tonic, when I am in a beer-like mood, but don’t have beer on hand…

I can’t wait to try this! If it works, you may be one of those gods that people talk about

Oh, it works and works well!! We are addicted to it here! Make it just as directed. I use the 6 ozs. of Jameson myself and find this is perfect. I’d suggest starting with this.
You can thank me after you’ve tasted it yourself.

if it’s beer, it will be one of the following (in no particular order) :

[ul]
[li]löwenbrau [/li][li]labatt 50[/li][li]sleeman honey brown[/li][li]grolsch [/li][li]amsterdam nut brown[/li][li]cameron’s ale[/li][li]red cap[/li][li]la fin du monde[/li][li]molson dry[/li][li]upper canada lager[/li][li]heineken[/li][li]tuborg gold[/li][/ul]

if it’s liquor, it will be :

[ul]
[li]vodka soda w/ splash of barlime [/li][li]bombay tonic[/li][li]bombay cran[/li][li]rye & ginger[/li][li]double goose rocks[/li][li]scotch rocks (dalwhinnie, glenmorangie, or macallan usually)[/li][/ul]

if it’s a shooter, it don’t matter, as long as it ain’t jägermeister. i can’t deal with the jäger. it’s too… buckley’s.

i don’t really have a favourite though… just depends on whats up at the moment of my drink choice.

I’m not much for sweet drinks these days. If I’m out, I tend to drink beer or wine, as most of my favorite liquors are either not available or highly overpriced. Mostly it’s beer as you can get decent beers at damn near any restaurant or bar these days. But if I’m given the choice between cheap beer and cheap wine, I’ll take the wine every time, thank you.

That said, here’s what I’d drink if everything were available and reasonably priced:[ul]
[li]1800 Añejo[/li][li]Marie Duffau Napoleon Armagnac[/li][li]Jameson’s 12-year old[/li][/ul]

In the summertime, I loves me a watermelon margarita. I like Pimm’s too, but I’ve only ever had it at my old advisor’s home and don’t know how to make it for myself. Someone recently made me an apple martini, and while I suppose it’s an abomination to martini purists, I’d enjoy it again as a summer drink.

Kamikazes used to be my cocktail of choice, but I don’t have them much these days. I like mine on the rocks as opposed to a shot, but that just seems to be an invitation to water the damn thing down into oblivion.

Flipstrip, do you know what goes into a Rocket Fuel? It was the centerpiece of a memorable afternoon in which some friends and I got totally toasted in lieu of hitting the company Christmas party, but we never did find out what went into it.

I’m not a huge beer fan, so draft cider (Woodchuck, yeah!) is good when I can get it.

I’ve never been a fan of scotch or bourbon myself, but I will ditto this recommendation. So smooth…

I’m mostly a beer guy.

Margarita, rocks, no salt

Bombay Sapphire and Tonic

White Russian

Cuba Libre (Rum, coke, lime)

Telegraph, but that’s a local thing. Only on tap at 6 or 7 places in town and nowhere outside of Santa Barbara.

Irish Coffee

And, not sure what it’s called (been told it’s a Madras, but ordering that has resulted in a different drink at every bar I’ve asked for it), but a screwdriver with a splash of cranberry juice
