Favorite Fictional Foods?

If I mentioned Haggis-Burger Sushi, would anyone get the reference? (At least, I think that’s what it was called.)

Yep - since the first time I read that book, that sounded like the best dessert.

I’ll have a Wonka’s Fudgemallow Delight.

If we are out of Spoo, I’ll take some Bandersnatch

Of course I’ll have to go to Jinx to get some…

And they do fight back.

Can I offer you a Butter-Da to wash that down?

I’d love to try a Sta-Puft Marshmallow even once.

So many posts, and no advocates for a delicious serving of Ice-9?

Vonnegut’s Ice-9?

Indeed. You’ll never want anything else afterward.

I’m partial to Pumpkin Pasties and the pumpkin soup Yeto makes in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

There’s a lot of really good recipes for “fictional” food at geekychef.com

Yes, I know this is a zombie. I still feel compelled to point out:
I wish smutto had remained fictional.

I’d like some Jackie-O’s for breakfast. (Lisa Simpson turned me on to it.)

Either that or the 15-egg Eggapalooza from the Satellite of Love.

I vote for khlav kalash, some sort of meat on a stick. It was in the Simpsons episode where they go to New York to retrieve Homer’s illegally-parked car. A street cart vendor comes by yelling “khalv kalash!” Homer asks for a bowl, but the vendor says, “no bowl. Stick. Stick.” Then Homer asks for a drink, and the only choices are Mountain Dew and crab juice. “Ewww! I’ll take a crab juice.” Khlav kalash also made a brief appearance in a later episode where Lisa gets lost in Russiatown.

My favorite book when I was little was “A Sitter For Baby Monster” featuring some characters from Sesame Street. In one picture, the sitter made a monster burger for the little monster that looked so amazingly delicious. It is honestly making my mouth water just to think about it now.

Also, and I am hoping that someone will post that these actually do exist, Reptar bars from Rugrats.

Honey, can we have Placenta Helper every night?

I’ve always wanted to try one of Roughhouse’s burgers since they were highly prized by burger connoisseur J Wellington Wimpy.
And, even though the strip is probably 50 years past its prime, honorable mention has to go to the Dagwood Sandwich.

Many sweets from the Roald Dahl books. There were several instances in my childhood when I wanted to toss my mom a piece of StickJaw, especially when she was going off on one of her lengthy lectures.

I have a recipe for pumpkin juice here, if anybody is interested. Never tried it, though.

When I was playing Neopets, there were lots of silly foods I wanted to try – lots of the tropical fruits for sure. Also, I would like to try a hot cup of Borovan: somewhere between coffee and strong beef broth, I imagine.

Don’t forget the fried tubeworms!

I once hosted a dinner party based on foods mentioned in Babylon 5. There were ordinary foods that humans eat, of course. And I did make “breen” using a good reciped I have for Swedish meatballs. Also had bagna cauda, a northern Italian hot oil dip that Garibaldi had on one episode. As Dr. Franklin said, when he heard what was in it “I can feel my arteries hardening just being in the same room with it.”

Obscure, but I want try Creema di Leema from Diana Wynne Jones’ Homeward Bounders.
