Favorite Rolling Stones song

Of course, Elvis is still my favorite. But, by far, my favorite song is “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Stones. It’s just so damn catchy.

Any others?

A really tough call, but for the moment my favorite is the Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out version of “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” If you like “Sympathy For the Devil” you’ve got to love the live version of that one on the same album, too.

By the way, does anybody know why they stuck an apostrophe on “ya-yas”? That’s always bothered me.

I’ve never been a huge Stones fan, but I do like “Paint It Black”.

“Paint It Black” rules. The only reason I watched the old CBS Vietnam show “Tour of Duty” was because it used “Paint It Black” as the theme song.

My fav is “Angie”

I’m with flikker–definitely Angie.

I have to agree with paint it black. Although I can’t stand the stones Paint it Black is a true classic.

I can narrow it down to 10: (1)“Paint it Black”, (2)“Sympathy for the Devil”, (3)“Wild Horses”, (4)“Moonlight Mile”, (5)“Happy”, (6)“Soul Survivor”, (7)“Tumblin’ Dice”, (8)“Rocks Off”, (9)“Beast of Burden”, (10)“Waiting on a Friend”

Gotta go with Sympathy for the Devil

“Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints!”

That’s perfect.

Angel in My Heart. I had never heard it before until a friend sent me the mp3. What a great song.

Sympathy for the Devil is the only one I can stand.

I like “Sympathy for the Devil” as well, but my favorite is “Street Fighting Man”.

They have so many great songs. I think the moment I realized how much I like the stones was when Jumpin’ Jack Flash played during the closing credits of Fear and Loathing.

Well known: “Let’s Spend the Night Together”

Not well known “My Obsession”

Not by them: “You’ve got to Move” Anybody know who did the original?

How’s about Satisfaction?

Wild Horses. Definitely.

Honky Tonk Women give me, give me, give me the honky tonk blues.

I liked “Honkey Tonk Women” because of the line: “She blew my nose and then she blew my mind”. Must have taken The Stones years to come up with that one! (yeah right).
But “Wild Horses” is their best song, in my opinion.
