I’m fond of the signs on the succession of elephants trampling Sideshow Bob:
CAPE – FEARE – SALUTES – HANNIBAL – CROSSING – THE – ALPS
Plus there was the “Gooify” setting the giant blender in one of the Hallowe’en episodes.
And the warning printed on the Krutsy Brand Home Pregnancy Test - MAY CAUSE BIRTH DEFECTS
I always liked how the “Sleep Eazy Motel” has neon letters out so that it spells: “Sleezy Motel”.
There was a Hamlet episode?
Why was I not informed?
(And, since it was obviously a recent one…was it any good?)

Actually, the sign was DANES do it melancholy.
On a lot of the series where Phil Hartman did voices, there is often a sign for “Phil’s Gas.” I wonder if that was a reflection on him.
Springfield University:
“Ask us about our Latin Motto Contest!”
Not a sign, but something advertise-y,
Carl, drinking some sort of meat drink: “Mm! Steaky!”
On the apron of the guy who sets the fire for Joan of Arc’s (Lisa’s) burning “Kiss ye Cook”

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the sign at the Springfield Retirement Castle: “Thank You For Not Discussing the Outside World.”

In the episode where Sideshow Bob gets paroled and is greeted by a large group of protestors outside the jail, On man has a sign that says
Crime, Yes!
Criminals, No!
I always liked that one
Can’t remember exact quote, but it goes by really really fast.
On side of bus:
“You could be wathing Mad About You on NBC Thursdays at 8:00.”
I stand corrected. Thanks, I missed the top of the sign.
One of my favorites (I can’t remember the episode) is when Willy is taking Lisa into his private office or whatever at the school. The sign on his door says:
“Stay Oot”
It may be a dumb joke, but I cracked up so hard when I saw that.

On the door of the sea captain’s seafood restaurant (which has gone out of business because Homer has become a scathing food critic):
“Sorry, we arrrrrre closed.”
sign outside a hotel. Welcome winner of the honeymoon with cher contest.
Chez Guevara’s always makes me crack up.
Dirtiest sign ever:
Sneed’s Feed & Seed (Formerly Chuck’s)
Then there’s all the movies that play at the Springfield Googolplex theaters. My favorite was MARS NEEDS TOWELS.

Tonight - Springfield Image Awards (or something of the sort)
Tomorrow - Entertain yourselves, dammit!
