Well said.
FBI Search and Seizure at Trump's Mar-A-Lago Residence, August 8, 2022, Case Dismissed July 15, 2024
Yes. Good points. Knowing HOW something critical like this works can be almost as dangerous as specific, still-active codes.
He’s already stated he is using the “they set me up by planting evidence” defense.
how is this man not arrested at this point??! seriously! this can not end with “we got the documents, all better now”. if he is truly a private citizen subject to the rule of law, there needs to be an arrest or two or more.
how did he get the documents? who packed the boxes? how many people handled this?
His argument will be that there was no criminal intent, that he just kept them for his Presidential Library for the American people to see how loved he was by other world leaders. Maybe his love letters from Kim Jung-un were in one of those boxes and a copy of the Russian girls peeing on him signed by off by his good buddy. That may fly with a hand slap for the gifts he grifted, but documents related to defense of the nation definitely not.
It’s my understanding this is essentially a RICO case they’re building, and those take years and years before anyone is even considered being arrested. They basically want to have their entire case locked down before any handcuffs are broken out.
Trump, in his own way, confessed to having nuclear weapons information. This is a tweet which contains Trump’s Truth Social statement:
I’d like to know if there’s a common theme that links these boxes. IOW, why these particular boxes? What the hell did he even want them for? It’s not as though the semi-literate pustule was ever going read them.
Even more than that, why is he so desperately trying to figure out who leaked the information if the evidence is planted?
To be fair, you don’t to be able to read/understand nuclear information to know it’s valuable to foreign countries. Just like I might not understand the alarm schematics for the bank I work at to know I could probably sell them to a friend of mine that robs banks.
Trump had something that other people wanted, so he kept it. He may not have even known what was in the boxes, but keeping them could give him leverage in the future. Don’t give anything away for free; I doubt it’s any more complicated than that.
Please avoid posting large segments of copyrighted material. What you had far exceeded fair use.
What innocence is being ended? The idea that the president is a good person with the best interests of the nation at heart? Where have you been since Nov. 9, 2016?
Or is the idea that now Trump’s supporters will finally see the truth about their hero? I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one.
Isn’t everybody just fantasizing about him selling this stuff? I think that might be even beyond him.
And here we still weren’t absolutely certain that this was about nuclear materials . . . thanks for clearing that up Donnie!
And that’s one of the things that a lot of people might think, “Hey, that’s not so bad…”
Except that the US Navy has the best record of nuclear safety in the world. Their power plants and their operating procedures are better than anything anyone else has, and it’s their nuclear power plants that allows them to operate all over the world.
China for one would looooove to get their hands on anything related to the Navy’s nuclear program, as this would likely be a big step up in their capabilities.
Really?
My take on this is different, namely that a witness has committed perjury during one of those investigative interviews, and that is therefore good material for prosecutors to work with.
This is exactly what I’ve been thinking. Leverage is power. TFG can get money from his rubes, but he can only get power from and through other powerful people.
The MAGAts need to get their narratives straight. If there was a rat, it means there was something there to rat on. That would seem to conflict with the “planted it” scenario.
Legitimately: why?
What has Trump done to earn this trust?
Conflicting narratives have not yet been a deal breaker among that set, and it’s been 6 or 7 years now. I don’t see why they need to change now
