Female body language type thingy..... the Speaquel

London_Calling’s thread got me thinking about female body language. What does it mean if you’re sitting on the bus with a female friend that you’ve known for less that 2 months, and she leans her head on you for more than a couple seconds?

And don’t you love the double pun on sequel? I got my name, since I didn’t post the first one?

Could be a flirty gesture, or it could be a you’re-such-a-good-friend gesture. Need more info…is she flirty in other ways?

How affectionate is she with other people? Was she tired that day? I know I’ve done it in the aforementioned “you’re-such-a-good-friend” way, but also in the “make-a-move” way. I agree with Geobabe - need more background information.

yep, could go either way here…
was she knackered? 'cause maybe she was just dozing…

basically, no clue.

I have a friend who is like that…she will lean on people, or hug then at random moments, or insist on holding hands while talking. This is not her trying to be flirty, and she wasn’t even aware that people precieved it to be flirty untill this summer, it’s just her way of doing things, and I’m not complaining

I’m really not very huggy/touchy with most people. I would guess that if she leaned her head on your shoulder - a person she’d known less than 2 months - it’s because she was nodding off, or looking to dive headfirst into Flirtville.
