She was out on bail for felony counts stemming from sex with three different students, and she [does it again](A former Davis High School teacher is facing more felony charges after prosecutors accuse the 35-year-old woman of having sex with a teenage boy after she was arrested and charged for allegedly having sex with several students. Brianne Altice was charged Tuesday with three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and one count of dealing in harmful material to a minor, all third-degree felonies. According to an arrest warrant, Altice allegedly had sexual intercourse and oral sex with a 17-year-old boy between November 2013 and August 2014. She is also accused of sending the boy a text message with a photograph of her breasts on June 7, 2014.).
Her lawyer has dutifully attempted to defend her to the best of his abilities, through filing various motions, but it’s got to suck having a client like this.

Clearly her teaching skills are inadequate since she is unable to learn her own lessons. How did she ever get licensed in the first place?

Going to jail for being crazy is a tough line, but so walking out across a freeway because you know everyone will stop for you. Being manic can be dangerous as well as destructive.
“I’m so hot for teen boys”, if anything at all. Or, “I’m already legally f****d, might as well get as much of that as I can, while I can.”

And the events happened over several months *after *she was out on bail, and it’s near certain that at the time of the first charges the boys were advised to report *immediately *if she tried to contact them. Oh, we know boys can be as much manipulated by predatory adults as girls, but still…
Yeah, I come from generations of craziness. Had it been the 1990s, my father would be in prison and we would have been taken away from our mother.
I did my own share of really, really stupid stuff, and I get it that you just are not thinking, but it’s really unfortunate that even with a possible prison sentence she didn’t get a wake-up call.
Her husband has naturally filed for divorce and custody of their child.
I agree that it’s likely that she has mental problems of some sort.
She should just move. Having sex with a 17-year-old is legal in 38 states and the District of Columbia. There are only 12 US states where the age of consent is 18.*
As a teacher, she would have been in trouble even in the states with lower age of consent, because most (all? I assume so) of them prohibit teachers from having sex with their students, whether or not the student is over the age of consent. But once she is no longer in a position of authority, that’s different.
The teen she is charged with having sex with after her initial arrest, now 18, was arrested last September for witness tampering against another one of her victims. As part of his plea bargain, he was required to testify against her. His extremely reluctant testimony is damning for her case.
So, although she knew it was illegal, she had sex while awaiting trial for similar offenses.
The initial charges stem from sex with several boys, with which she was having overlapping affairs.
It determinately screams issues, or some sort of mental illness.
