He’s adorable. Now that I’m home all day I keep thinking of getting - well something. I’m not sure what. But I have enough trouble keeping myself, let alone another being.
We named him! From his all-fighting, all-the-time attitude, I had thought of naming him after Ronon Dex on Stargate: Atlantis. Squish, Ronon Dex, Meep, Roland (“Roly” for short), and Monty [as in Python] were our earliest candidates. We ran through a bunch more, including Q-Bert, Hamlet, Cyrus, and Syd, but the name that really suited his character really was Ronon Dex. He’s just so in-your-face in constant attack mode… (Jason Momoa would totally have to play this kitty if they ever made a movie about the little guy. He’d have to dye his hair orange, though.) So Ronon Dex, here’s the world. World, here’s Ronon Dex.
Anyway, photos will be posted soon, be certain. He’s already getting to be on buddy terms with the other cats. He and Pixie played for a solid hour last night, at least, ambushing each other around corners and pouncing on each other. God it’s hilarious to watch.
(When Girl From Mars mentioned “Ronan” I was a little bummed because I sort of felt like then I couldn’t name him Ronon because it would be too much like someone else picking the name, but Dan and I talked and he convinced me that I shouldn’t let the fact that someone else suggested a similar name make us avoid a name we thought was suitable.)
I finally put up his Photo Gallery so you can see all the lovable squishiness that is Ronon.
He’s so cute. But I gotta ask, where did you get that fabulous cat tree?
Petco at Steelyard Commons in Cleveland. They have a HUUUUUGE selection of cat furniture and it’s all way cheaper than I’ve seen anywhere else. I like this one becuse it looks like furniture, and it doesn’t shed carpet yarn all over the house. The cats love it
AWW KITTEH. squee
Neither of my two were that rambunctious when they were kittens.
By the way, you’ve been submitted to Cute Overload. I think we should all email the link over to them to get this cute furball on there.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Let me know if this isn’t okay.
No problem, Cervaise
LOUNE: woohoo!
